It’s a small village in Germany right next to the border of Switzerland I walk alone at night, there not much of public transport but I’d use it without worries The next city is Singen am Hohentwiel which is a little less safe than the village but still I walk there alone at night
Posted: February 21, 2025It's generally safe, just need to stay away from Görlitzer Park at night. Also sometimes might see some loud homeless people on the S-bahns, but they're usually only loud and not dangerous. Be careful with bicycles they get stolen quite often.
Posted: February 21, 2025Gronau is an ordinary little town right next to the Netherlands. At night, I feel a lot safer than in bigger towns but as a woman, I fear you can never feel 100% safe. The only dangerous aspect is that we're really close to the Netherlands and drugs (mostly weed) is a problem. But normally that's not a danger to ordinary people.
Posted: February 21, 2025It's very safe because there are many lovely, calm, older people. It is a conservative way of living, although there are also some places where more liberal people gather. Since not much is going on and Zwönitz is a small town, you don't have to worry about walking alone at night.

Hey:) i live and study in Mainz and feel at home here and safe. Definitely during the day, at night i’d say it’s the same safety hazards you’d have anywhere, I mean, men are men…🫠 Anyways, I often walked home alone after going out and nothing ever happened, stay safe girls xx

The City it self is very safe, just the train station is a bit scary at night. you can walk through the whole city with no worries. living there is also harmless, no worries by that! just in Baden Oos it could look scary but it isnt.

My time in Berlin has been less than perfect. The people here aren’t very friendly and my hostel experience has been pretty awful. I do think it would be better if I was with others, but people here don’t really care to talk to you. I don’t think I would recommend this city to another solo traveler.
Posted: February 20, 2025There is always a lot going on in Berlin, also during the night time. If you’re moving yourself in the touristic areas, I would say it’s very safe. There’s always a lot of people around and police in every neighbourhood. However, you should try to avoid walking through gorlizer park during the evenings/nights. And really watch your stuff during a night out in neukolln. There’s a lot of pick-pocketing there, and also at Alexander platz.

Düsseldorf is pretty safe. Stay away from the train station, Hauptbahnhof, and Worringer Platz. The city center is safe. I usually walk after dark without any problems. But sometimes you could come across strang people
Posted: February 19, 2025I think it's pretty good, but you still hear of many people who experienced unpleasant things. Gladly, I wasn't one of them, so I can't say much about it myself. Fact it that things happen, though it might not be as often as in other countries

Great parks to visit and the summer is even better. I loved the boat place on the bridge (do not remember the name). Architecture and streets are great for all day strolling around. Plus Christmas markets are really getting you in the mood!

It was my first solo travel and it was good . It had a good solo travel community and hostels were good place to start. Went for walking tours and astonished by the history of Berlin, the history is amazing and a lot. Lot of museums to visit and the night life is big

Hello I'm Cecilia. I love travelling and learning new languages. I also like to write poems and successfully turn one of them into a song (it's on music platforms! Check the link above to check my music out). A bit introverted but when we get to know each other, we'll have so much fun!
