Is Germany safe for solo female travelers?

Germany is generally a very safe destination for solo female travelers. The crime rate is low and local citizens are typically courteous and helpful. Public transportation, including trains and busses, is widely available and secure. Nevertheless, previously would be wise to respect general safety guidelines as in any other place, such as avoiding isolated areas late at night and being aware of your belongings. German people usually speak English, which makes communication easier. Remember, always trust your instincts.

Cologne, Solo travel

I'm currently doing an Erasmus there. There's a lot of places to visit. Great art galleries. The people there are especially very nice, I met a lot of people and now great friends. As a queer person you will be very welcomed

What a beautiful city to visit in summertime:) There are some many things to do here: visit Miniatur Wunderland (remember to booked the ticket in advance), the Elb river, Elbphilharmonie, Speicherstadt, the Bunker, Elbtunnel, two Bundesliga teams (St.Pauli and HSV), and so many more:) Small tips: you can take some of the ferries for free, instead of paying for the tourist ships, check online in advance! I recommend to stay more than four days here, including weekends since there are markets...

Berlin was really beautiful. I always heard that the city is lame or boring but I had so much fun there, I traveled with one friend and it was very safe!! People are so collaborative and help a lot. However, honestly, I felt minor racism, but it was all amazing!

Bremen 2025: great beer and coffee, friendly climbing gym, beautiful architecture and perfect routes for running. Warm days, relaxed pace, cosy cafés and an easy city to enjoy actively outside Summer.

You should always watch your pockets at Plärrer and Hauptbahnhof. I always walk around Nürnberg by night and I never have any problems, but never say never. I think Fürth (or Erlangen) is a little bit safer for walking around at night being a woman alone.

Bensheim

Bensheim isn’t very problematic but like in every European town you need to watch out nighttime’s. Have been out and about alone here and there (day and nighttime’s) and I’ve never really had any problems or felt unsafe.

Bruhl

Brühl is a small city next to Cologne and it is super calm her and as a women you feel very safe no matter which time. In Cologne it depends on the areas where you are. For example I feel unsafe in Cologne at night at the central station, Friesenplatz, Neumarkt. But all the areas around the center are pretty chill.

Berlin

Berlin is a normal European city, of course there are dark alleys that you might feel unsafe in but generally it’s pretty safe. I would generally try to keep out of very touristic areas in the night like Alexanderplatz or big stations as there can be a lot of drunkards or people on drugs.

About me

all about meaningful connections, spontaneous adventures, and creating a safe, warm space wherever i go ✨ easygoing, respectful, and bringing good energy (and probably snacks). i enjoy deep talks just as much as random adventures and silly moments, and i’m always curious about different cultures, lifestyles, perspectives – and a little bit of magic in everyday life. find me at concerts or dancing at raves one day, and the next wandering through cafés, people watching or recharging in nature. for me, this is not just about a place to stay – it’s about exchanging experiences, building trust, and maybe even finding new friends around the world 💜

About me

I really like to travel and get to know new people. At the moment I am offering German workshops in polish schools. This is the reason for my travels this time. I would love to stay in Krakow from the 9th-12th of April. It’s the first time I use this app, so maybe that’s the reason why my profile is so empty :) I am new here 🌟 I would love to meet you
