Munich is a beautiful city and felt so good and warm (spiritually and physically) I stayed two nights in a hotel very close to the train station which made transportation so much easier from the airport and to other cities. City central is really pretty with parks. I definitely recommend having picnics with coffee and pastries or takeout food in close parks. I went to popular landmarks because it was my first time so there is a lot I had missed out on but I can recommend Allianz Stadium and BMW Museum. Both was amazing if you are into it And if you are not you can go to near mountains or lakes for hiking or swimming. I had only two days in Munich so I couldn't experience them this time. But I can't wait to go there and have lots of fun memories! ps. pls pls pretty pls recommend me places for food and coffee/tea and pastries or anything. I'll try to have as much as I can next time

That is the first time I was in foreign country alone. My hotel was near by the main train station. When I went out from the hotel. There was someone follow behind me. So be careful and be safe if you are alone.

LOVED IT!!! Highly recommend!!! I went to Munich to visit a friend and it’s still one of my top 10 experiences. The city is pretty safe, I never felt unsafe once even walking at night. 10/10 recommend the eisbach if you get a chance! The museums and buildings were incredible I have so many photos!!! The most expensive thing for me was the plane ticket, I didn’t pay for housing or anything like that bc I stayed with a friend so the trip for me was pretty cheap. Honestly even the museums and all that were reasonably priced!

Munich is fun! The transportation is easy to figure out, and I enjoy going to the grocery stores to get my food. I have limited travel experience, but I felt safe here. You will enjoy it if you like museum hopping, and drinking beer! Lol

I loved my time in Munich! I got to experience many of its wonders - singing along to YMCA and John Denver at Oktoberfest, stumbling upon crazy cool landmarks like a palace and cathedral just by wandering around, and even learning that sea urchins have Zelda-boss-eyes and some fish have arms? My 4 days there were fantastic, filled with fun, new friends, beer, and pretzels (I actually prefer American pretzels). I felt very safe in Munich, even at Oktoberfest when squashed between thousands of people in the beer tents. Only one man tried to hit on me and multiple people stepped in to stop him. I made friends there quickly, though we parted ways at the end of the celebrations. I wasn't out at night except for taking the u-bahn back to my airbnb, which felt very safe even though I was quite tipsy. The ability to get around easily was AMAZING. Munich, and my subsequent trip to Berlin, made me fall in love with public transportation even more than I already was. I didn't need to rent a car - I could even get to the castle (Neuwaschstein? Sorry I totally forgot how to spell it) from Munich within 1.5 hours on a train. On my last day there I also stumbled upon an anti-fascism and pro-LGBTQ protest, which I joined for a short time. Happy to see people around the world fighting for what's right! The Munich Zoo was also great with large exhibits for their animals. Many of the primates looked bored and skinny though, which makes me worried about their health. All other animals seemed very well taken care of. The only downside to this trip was my Airbnb, where I was promised a single private room and was instead given a bed in a dining room of an apartment where multiple men were staying. The host left food out on the kitchen counter which collected flies and smelled after a few days. I tried to spend most of my time outside of the Airbnb, and really should've canceled and stayed elsewhere. I would highly recommend Munich for its architectural beauty, safety, ability to get around, and if you can make it - Oktoberfest!

Having been around the city centre and walking across most places, I feel relatively safe and secure in Munich. People have been generally helpful and nice and I look forward to meeting like minded people and making friends

It’s a safe city and you can walk around frely also at night. Just skip the central station area at night. During Oktoberfest there can be some drunk idiots but generally it’s save. I once experienced a stalker in my gym who followed me to my home but unfortunately this can happen anywhere, also my purse was stolen from my bike back while walking along central station

I feel very safe walking around the city in the night. Public transport are really good so you don’t have to wait for a long period to get home. In the week from 2-5am it is a bit harder to take the Sbahn, despite that Tram and buses are still available

Its a really safe city, tho ofc theres more crime and stuff than in other places but mainly cuz its a big city so thats normal. Ive lived here my whole life and theres some crazy people sometimes in trains or whatever, and ive also been harrased but ut doesnt happen often so im not really worried about it. It has also gotten alot better since im not a teenager anymore(i dress less revealing, sexual harrasment from men)

I have been living for several months, I rarely see drunk or high people on the streets, very very few. The only time i felt unsafe is in the main central bus stop where a man beggar kept asking for money but there were a lot of people around so it was okay
