Its a really safe city, tho ofc theres more crime and stuff than in other places but mainly cuz its a big city so thats normal. Ive lived here my whole life and theres some crazy people sometimes in trains or whatever, and ive also been harrased but ut doesnt happen often so im not really worried about it. It has also gotten alot better since im not a teenager anymore(i dress less revealing, sexual harrasment from men)
Posted: September 2, 2025I have been living for several months, I rarely see drunk or high people on the streets, very very few. The only time i felt unsafe is in the main central bus stop where a man beggar kept asking for money but there were a lot of people around so it was okay

It's one of the safest places I've been to. I've been here for 2 months and never came across a cat-call (except 1 time, late at night, but it wasn't even that uncomfortable). Even if they call you, they are not that stubborn I guess..

Munich at daytime is pretty safe, of course there are some regions which tend to be unsafer than most of the city. There are always some people who are either drunk or just stupid, and they sometimes say mean things or make comments about you. But that's in every city, I was never assaulted or threatened, but I'm not every day in Munich so I can't give you exact information, but I would not recommend going out alone in the night as one or two women, always try to be in a bigger group or have a man with you that you can trust, for you own safety.
Posted: August 21, 2025i would say it’s fairly safe. of course i feel unsafe walking at night, especially as a woman, because there are looks and also sometimes catcalls but i’ve never had anything really bad happen to me, it’s just a fear i have cause i’ve heard stories. i would recommend it to solo travelling girls and women, but maybe stay away from some places like train stations or lonely spots after dark, just to be safe.

Munich is a beautiful city and felt so good and warm (spiritually and physically) I stayed two nights in a hotel very close to the train station which made transportation so much easier from the airport and to other cities. City central is really pretty with parks. I definitely recommend having picnics with coffee and pastries or takeout food in close parks. I went to popular landmarks because it was my first time so there is a lot I had missed out on but I can recommend Allianz Stadium and BMW Museum. Both was amazing if you are into it And if you are not you can go to near mountains or lakes for hiking or swimming. I had only two days in Munich so I couldn't experience them this time. But I can't wait to go there and have lots of fun memories! ps. pls pls pretty pls recommend me places for food and coffee/tea and pastries or anything. I'll try to have as much as I can next time
