How safe is Berchtesgaden?

A really safe and quiet place in the german Alps. People we met while hiking were polite and said at most hello. Our accommodation was 30 minutes away from the centre of Berchtesgaden but me and 2 frieds walked to it to buy some snacks. On that way we also felt very safe even though the path was somewhat hidden by trees and bushes. Overall an amazing location to go hiking and admire nature while staying safe.

Is Berchtesgaden worth visiting?

Solo travel

10/10 trip !!! The mountains are unbelievable until you get to experience them yourself 😍 Everyone is super nice and helpful even though not many of the citizens knows or likes to speak English, but they do their best :) It feels generally safe, but there are definitely some risks here and there especially close to the train station. Recommendations: - Königsee to see the lake and take a boat to either St. Bartholomä for 22,50€ (adult return ticket). - Bus to Salzburg for ~7€ - Berchtesgaden royal palace tour for 15€ (adult entrance/tour) - SoundCafé (local bar) - Kaserbar (nightclub) - Any small cafés or restaurants downtown - Hintersee - Hiking
