Its an old historic town which was rich in medieval times, therefore it features quite a few churches. The people where nice enough, but it is admittedly rather far away from any other signs of cities. Once you're there its kind of cozy, but getting there and leaving is the issue
Posted: June 24, 2025Overall it is a safe city. My comment is only on the cleanliness since there was so much trash in the public areas, even in the parks. I found some good and affordable Vietnamese restaurants that were so good and enjoyable. I was lucky to find a gay hotel (honestly I've never feel more safer around men like that in my whole life), I love them.

I love Berlin! Because there is a lot going on I feel really safe in Berlin. I would recommend taking a stroll through one of the many parks in Berlin, get a Sterni Bier and definitely a Falafel wrap from Libanon Falafel in Neukölln!

Safe? Yes and no. But more no than yes. Expensive? In my opinion yes. But Berlin is an interesting and different. Absolutely worth a visit. lots of beer, wine and delicious Asian cuisine. Although you can find food for every taste there. Berlin is multicultural.

Such an amazing city, I constantly catch myself reminiscing on those 2 months I spent there. LOADS of things to do and see there: museums, parks, clubs, pubs, interesting streets, etc. I felt quite safe there, but nighttime in Berlin is quite "heavy", a lot of people do drugs in clubs etc., so it's important to stay careful and aware of your surroundings. Quite an expensive city too yet it's totally worth it, the vibe is so unique.
Posted: June 18, 2025I visited Düsseldorf last year with my boyfriend to attend a concert. While the show was great, we didn’t really feel safe in the city, and the overall vibe felt a bit grey and lifeless. There wasn’t much going on, and it lacked the color and energy we enjoy when traveling. Fun fact: we even had to go all the way to Essen just to find postcards!

Honestly it really depends on where you’re staying in Bonn. I usually wouldn’t recommend to go to Godesberg at the evenings since there seem to be men always lurking around the corner and they just stare at you. Overall I would say Bonn is a safe place to stay but Godesberg is a part of it that I would not like to recommend.

From what I've experienced so far for nearly a month, Hamburg seems quite safe. There are a lot of security. But don't forget that it's a big city. You just have to follow the general rules of safety!
