My friend and I did a 5 day trip to Berlin to see Sabrina Carpenter and here’s how our experience of the city was! What we did: Activities: Berlin Zoo, Dungeon Sights: Bradenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Holocaust Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Dom, Museum Island, Berlin Wall, East Side Gallery, RAW-Gelände ⭐️ Recommendations: + We really liked all the places I just listed! + Museum Island was so pretty, I could have soent all day just walking around the area and all the gorgeous buildings! A picnic in sunset would be beautiful there + The Zoo was super nice, especially to my friend who had never bene to one! - RAW-Gelände seemed cooler on TikTok, but might be that we just visited at a bad time! 🛏️ Accommodation: We stayed at the a&o Hostel Mitte, which was rather good for the price we paid! The location was quite nice, between city centre and East Side Gallery, just a 10min walk away from Ostbahnhof station. The hostel was huge and had a lot of school kids so was a bit noisy at times and not perhaps on the cleanest side - but not gonna complain for the 13€/night we paid! 🚗 Getting around: During the 5 days that we stayed, there was a public transport strike for 2 days so we had to take Ubers more than we would have wanted to! The oublic transportation seemed really good otherwise, and getting tickets from the BVG app was easy. We took the day ticket (24 Stunden) twice, and it was 12,30€ so jot too bad at all! Ubers were roughly 10-12€ for the short rides we took. Also used the scooters at some point, big recommendation for them too! 💸 Budget: In total I spent around 300€ so roughly 60€/day, including accommodation, transportation, food, sights and shopping. Accommodation: 13€/night in a hostel Public transport: roughly 2-20€ day Food: 15-35€/day Activities: 40€ total (excluding the concert lol) 🚨Safety: We both felt quite safe even walking at night. Our hostel was located near KitKat and Tresot which was supposed to be sketchier area (at least according to the hostel reviews lol) but we didn’t feel unsafe. Overall tips: • Carry some cash with you as some stores and restaurants might mot accept card payments! • If you are planning on going to museums or doing activities etc, book in advance! You might save money, and some places are booked out fast! We for example weren’t able to go in the Reichstag Building without booking days in advance. • Take pics in the Photoautomats! The city has photobooths everywhere, definitely get some photos as a memory. We paid 3-5€ for a set of 4 pics :)

What I did in Munich: Visited BMW Museum Visited Olympic Park Liked around Mariaplatz Square Ate a traditional meal in Mariaplatz Visited and took a tour of Bayern-München Allianz Stadium I was there a day and a half total. It was very safe and clean, the people are friendly to help guide me for transportation, all the places I visited to I was satisfied. I’m not a Maylee car person but it was cool to see the BMW museum and they have free bathrooms WC:) The Olympic park was very pretty and has a little hike at a hill you can see great views from. I felt safe even getting off my bus at 2AM, but kept being aware of my surroundings. Hostels are about $20-$25 USD a night. I highly recommend Munich!!
Posted: March 21, 2025Offenbach is quite nice and a good and cheap option to Frankfurt. The metro only takes 20 min to get to Frankfurt from there. Definitely don't miss the weekly market, it is the best thing about Offenbach! Try the Kartoffelpuffer there!
Posted: March 17, 202510/10 trip !!! The mountains are unbelievable until you get to experience them yourself 😍 Everyone is super nice and helpful even though not many of the citizens knows or likes to speak English, but they do their best :) It feels generally safe, but there are definitely some risks here and there especially close to the train station. Recommendations: - Königsee to see the lake and take a boat to either St. Bartholomä for 22,50€ (adult return ticket). - Bus to Salzburg for ~7€ - Berchtesgaden royal palace tour for 15€ (adult entrance/tour) - SoundCafé (local bar) - Kaserbar (nightclub) - Any small cafés or restaurants downtown - Hintersee - Hiking

Germany
I really enjoyed my vacation in Germany. I felt very safe here. My favorite cities are Munich and Hamburg. There are many cities in Germany that are not very attractive. But you must see these two cities.
Posted: March 16, 2025Just got back from Potsdam and it was a total vibe. Started at Sanssouci Palace — it’s like a real-life fairy tale, but with more fancy gardens and less magic. The wind had other plans for my hair, though. Then I checked out the Dutch Quarter, which felt like Amsterdam’s cuter cousin. Had some ridiculously strong coffee at a cozy café and just soaked it all in. Definitely a day well spent!

Berlin was my favorite city to travel to. It was an educational trip, although I plan on going back to Berlin for a more local experience. Everything I visited was pure gold. The Art museum is stunning and Architecture in Berlin is just phenomenal. It's just like walking through a mix of modernity and history. It's a city that really speaks for itself. There isn't much nightlife at night during the week, so you always have to search for an open pub or a disco. I stayed 5 nights at "Meinigen Hotel" which is not only an hotel but also a hostel (I think there's more than one Meinigen Hotel but mine was just next to the Berlin Wall). The prices were average and sometimes we moved using the Metro. I recommend trying food specialties and exploring the historical side of the city with a guided tour or being accompanied by a local. Overall safety was just a 10/10 until 1am (i didn't really experience being outside in the late night hours) and I didn't even feel unsafe for a single moment in Berlin. The only weird things that really caught my eye's attention were people drinking early in the morning (like 8am) , a lot of beer and vodka bottles in the street and along the sidewalks and drunk people sleeping on benches in the morning or in the afternoon
Posted: March 13, 2025Experienced: March, 2024I felt safe. You can see the churches around, there are 12 of them. It's nice to see the botanical garden, grab some Kölsch and stroll around the river. I stayed at Novo Hotel. I walked mostly on foot but it's easier if you rent a bike or go by bus.

I recommend the Kreuzberg area for nice food and night pubs. In general I noticed that prices have become more expensive, but this probably affects all Europe in general. I have been in different spots just for photographic purposes (architecture - ubahn stations etc).

I went alone for a day in Bamberg at the end of january 2025. Bamberg is a very cute city in south east germany. There can we find nice architecture and also interesting museums. I fully recommend the diocese museum which displays very beautiful and rare textiles. Then you should of course visit the main cathedral even though it remains more good looking from the inside (in my opinion) Something great about Bamberg is that you can walk fast out of the city and go for a little hike to climb to the Altenburg. There the view is super and the mood very cute and chill. You’ll find a lot of cute cafes and creators shops. The streets are completely enjoyable and colourful. Be careful in the summer, there are a lot of tourists

Nothing special to say. I feel safe because I’m walking around areas. I know the people and place and a location and I just tried to avoid the places that I shouldn’t go, especially just by myself as a woman.
Posted: March 25, 2025Around the Main Station it can get a bit creepy at night. But if you are with a Group or simply trust your gut feeling I would say you are good! Of course its always still important to stay careful and keep your eyes open as a solo female traveler:)

Hi 🌞 I’m a German student doing an internship in Norway this summer. I am looking for opportunities to meet locals or other travelers in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Katharina
Hi!, My name is Katharina. I am 20 years old and I am studying social Work in Germany. When I am on holidays I love to travel and meet new people on my journeys. After I graduated high-school I went for a one year journey to Finland. It was a great experience to get to know locals and learn about the culture of the country. After that I always wanted to have those kind of experiences again when I am travelling. So I am always interested in meeting new people when I am on my journeys. I am an open person and I love to meet people but I would describe myself also like a little bit shy. I am a calm person and besides the big adventures I also like to just drink a cup of tee and relax. I'm interested in backpacking, camping, culture, events, hiking, nightlife, swimming, writing and sunbathing. Especially I love music. Listening to it and sometimes try to do it myself :)
