Münster is a overall kind and happy place, everyone loves their bycycles, jumping into the water of the "Dortmund-Ems-Kanal" and being political arctive. There so many beautiful and green places. The majority of people want the city to be a peaceful place, so in order to provide this they behave like it :)

Münster feels like a bubble. I love this place to study to be creative. I feel very comfortable and safe in Münster. It’s a great city to study in, with a friendly vibe and so much to experience. I really enjoy living here and exploring everything it has to offer.
Posted: July 19, 2025I would say all in all Münster is a safe city to travel in. When I’m walking around at night with my female friends I usually don’t feel uncomfortable. However there are a few places where I’m always extra careful, like the central train station! Especially at night time there are always a few aggressive & drunk people. But most of the time you’ll find a lot of police officers walking around, making sure you’re safe. I would recommend walking around without fear, while maintaining a healthy awareness of others. :))
Posted: July 14, 2025It’s a small city of old rich people, students and families. I never had a problem walking home late. There is just inoffensive homeless people at the train station. Really safe city for girlies ! I would recommend not to go near Bremer Platz at night if u want to feel a 100% safe but it’s really ok and I never had a problem (I live one street away from this place)
Posted: June 27, 2025Münster is a student city. It offers a secure and welcoming environment. It is also a bicycle city. I always feel safe to bike home alone after a party. The crime index is very low compared to other German cities.
