Münster is a really small town in the west of Germany. It's a mostly students, so there are many young people. I've been living there for almost 7 years and my experience with sexual harrasment is low to zero. (I was onced honked at, but I just flipped them off) There are a few places i would not recommendend at night, for example the area behind the central station, because there are many homeless people and drug addicts. They mostly stay in groups, but I would'nt provoke them.

Münster is a overall kind and happy place, everyone loves their bycycles, jumping into the water of the "Dortmund-Ems-Kanal" and being political arctive. There so many beautiful and green places. The majority of people want the city to be a peaceful place, so in order to provide this they behave like it :)

Münster feels like a bubble. I love this place to study to be creative. I feel very comfortable and safe in Münster. It’s a great city to study in, with a friendly vibe and so much to experience. I really enjoy living here and exploring everything it has to offer.
Posted: July 19, 2025I would say all in all Münster is a safe city to travel in. When I’m walking around at night with my female friends I usually don’t feel uncomfortable. However there are a few places where I’m always extra careful, like the central train station! Especially at night time there are always a few aggressive & drunk people. But most of the time you’ll find a lot of police officers walking around, making sure you’re safe. I would recommend walking around without fear, while maintaining a healthy awareness of others. :))
