Münster is overall very safe. I would just avoid some park areas at night as they are drug selling spots. There is not a lot of public transportation available especially at night so plan ahead how you will get home.

Münster is a really small town in the west of Germany. It's a mostly students, so there are many young people. I've been living there for almost 7 years and my experience with sexual harrasment is low to zero. (I was onced honked at, but I just flipped them off) There are a few places i would not recommendend at night, for example the area behind the central station, because there are many homeless people and drug addicts. They mostly stay in groups, but I would'nt provoke them.

Münster is a overall kind and happy place, everyone loves their bycycles, jumping into the water of the "Dortmund-Ems-Kanal" and being political arctive. There so many beautiful and green places. The majority of people want the city to be a peaceful place, so in order to provide this they behave like it :)

Münster feels like a bubble. I love this place to study to be creative. I feel very comfortable and safe in Münster. It’s a great city to study in, with a friendly vibe and so much to experience. I really enjoy living here and exploring everything it has to offer.
