Berlin is a pretty safe city, you just have to be a bit careful around few neighbourhoods (like in every other city as well). Other than that Berlin is a very openminded place that welcomes people all around the world.

At daytime I have no concerns about my physical safeties, I would only be aware of pickpockets but they exist in every bigger European city. At night it is possible to take the public transport but I prefer to be with at least one other person.
Posted: March 11, 2025It is overall Moderatly save, tho maybe it is safer to avoid some individuals. I live in a rather rough neighborhood since my childhood ans only during my childhood I experienced it as dangerous. As an female Adult I feel pretty save. As an odder individual of society even more so.

I feel usually very safe in Berlin. I’m not going out anymore like I used to 10 years ago, but to us everything felt like a playground. Public transports felt really safe most of the time, but I’m not scared of homeless people i.e., drunk man are really annoying sometimes. To me it appears that it’s more dangerous as a men to experience physical violence. Catcalling on (weekend) nights happens regularly. A tough attitude shields you in my experience.
Posted: March 10, 2025Depends on the area you go to, but people are very open minded and look out for eachother. Ofcourse there will be weird people sometimes, but the overall safety feeling is pretty good, also for women solo travelling.

It depends on the district and time! I love my Kreuzberg/Neukölln but you have to know where to go. For example Görlitzer Park I would rather avoid in the dark. Also certain train stations in general

I currently live near Kreuzberg, where many drug dealers can be found along the streets. Despite that, I feel very safe, none has ever approached me in an inappropriate way and I feel always secure, also during the night.

Only during the night when I need to use Uban and there are so many drunk and homeless people there, I dont feel safe. Other times I dont feel unsafe. In most of neighborhoods. Posted: February 28, 2025Most of the time I feel very safe. But still I have some bad experiences with men in public, like catcalling or intrusive people (mostly at night). Also at night when you use public transport alone as a woman there is not much other people sometimes so it can feel a bit scary at some underground stations when there are drunk people/junkies etc.
Posted: February 23, 2025It's generally safe, just need to stay away from Görlitzer Park at night. Also sometimes might see some loud homeless people on the S-bahns, but they're usually only loud and not dangerous. Be careful with bicycles they get stolen quite often.

I recommend the Kreuzberg area for nice food and night pubs. In general I noticed that prices have become more expensive, but this probably affects all Europe in general. I have been in different spots just for photographic purposes (architecture - ubahn stations etc).

I went to Berlin with my friends and visited clubs there. I also tried some really good food. The food is cheap if you're earning in euros, but otherwise, it can be expensive. The weather is the usual cold German weather. Overall I’d recommend everyone to visit Berlin.

I love traveling and getting to know other people and cultures. 😍 I live in Berlin, I have a small apartment, but I think I can cost another person if you are easygoing :)
