Like any big metropole, Berlin has its city central locations, where pickpocketing may occur and over-priced tours are offered, leeching off the unaware tourists. But aside from that, as a solo woman you can safely use public transport, and go to any neighborhood. You can find queer-friendly events across the whole city. Regarding nightlife, the techno scene is the most inclusive, non-sexist and queer-friendly niche. Do beware of male groups at commercial music clubs.

I live in Berlin my hole live and i love it. I live in Spandau it’s a very calm district but if you want to feel more typical Berlin vibes you need to visit Prenzlauer Berg or schöne Berg but the safety is not really big. In Mitte, Charlottenburg and Steglitz it’s more safe and more touristy but all in all is Berlin really okay from safety if you listen to your belly
Posted: October 9, 2024Pretty safe! People just mind their own business and don’t care about others! You maybe want to avoid some places in the center but it’s definitely a good place and I feel safe from the first minute I got here
Posted: October 3, 2024Although some areas might not feel safe, they are more safe than they seem to. Just in some areas in the public transport especially at night it can be not comfortable let's say. But it's not dangerous. It's all really depends on the neighborhood you are in.
Posted: September 27, 2024I think Berlin is a safe city for women solo travellers if you avoid certain areas by night and be overall careful. The subway U8 has sometimes odd people but if you make sure you are not sitting alone in a room it should be fine.
Posted: September 27, 2024Berlin is a rather safe city. To be honest, it is easier when you are white. As a woman in 24 years in this city I never felt unsafe. Usually you can count on the help of others. The usual of course applies: Don‘t get overly drunk and watch your drink.

Berlin is a pretty safe place but such areas as Kreuzberg, Neuköln und F-shain are debatable. I live in a wealthy part of Berlin but we used to get our car robbed. So you don’t wanna go somewhere with a stranger
Posted: September 12, 2024Berlin is quite safe. Obviously dark secluded places should be avoided or special attention paid, as is the case everywhere. Compared to other major cities it's much safer. Around Kottbusser Tor there has been a lot of crime, so special attention should be paid and also around Görlitzer Park and the park called Hasenheide, but apart from that most central areas inside the Ring are pretty safe

I wouldn't be so worried about sexuaö harassment but more about unstable people in drugs doing weird stuff or being dangerous. Sorry Berlin! Lyas Many drug addicts around, not much more than that. Thx
Posted: September 3, 2024Berlin is big, so it depends on where you are. In the centres, because there is always people, I feel pretty safe. I would still prepare for pickpockets everywhere, but those you don't notice, only afterwards when your money is gone. Public transport is safe, but I would still change cars if I'm almost alone in one to change to a more crowded one. I avoid parks at night, even though most are probably quite safe, but you never know. There are a lot of junkies and drunk people who might be scary because they shout, but if you avoid them (or call the police if they eg. endanger themselves) and don't stare at them I never had bad encounters.

I love Berlin. It's my favorite city. There are museums and thrift stores everywhere. The atmosphere of the biergaten is super cool. I went there with my family, as a couple and solo, and each time, it was a great experience.

When I was in Berlin I felt safe, I meet so many good people who became my friends... It is really a big city so if don't have a bike , you will have to pay an average amount for public transport. It is a strange and astonishing city, don't miss it !

I love traveling and getting to know other people and cultures. 😍 I live in Berlin, I have a small apartment, but I think I can cost another person if you are easygoing :)
