Grenoble was very nice. I got the chance to be hosted by a local for the weekend and she showed me around her favourite places. I loved the adventure of discovering a new city and especially through the eyes of someone who lives there and loves her city.

I KEEP dreaming myself back to Charleville Mezieres and I would love to return to this city in the summer. The nature surrounding it is beautiful, and is a very good alternative to Reimes or Paris. (And closer if you’re travelling from the east!) It is truly a hidden pearl. The architecture was STUNNING and you truly felt like you had gotten thrown into a cinematic coming-of-age-movie. We didn’t do much more than walking around and taking in the city. The city felt slow, but we also visited in the month of February and it was OH so cold. Charleville-Mezieres is actually France’s coldest city! So, for the hot summer months, I can only imagine how amazing it must be in this city by the river Meuse. We did not eat out, but we took a drink (outside!) in what then felt like a warming spring sun, alongside the locals who had been waiting for the sun’s first warming rays all winter. Now looking back, it can’t have been more than 5° outside in the sun.

It’s a very quiet and safe city, people are very open and welcoming to strangers, there is a lot of different restaurants to dry different cuisines. You can also meet people from different nationalities and explore the unique architecture of the coty

Paris is a lovely city. Not exactly only in the tourist spots! On my first visit, I didn’t realise Paris as it is, I was in a group and they were very worried about tourist spots. And then I didn’t find the then famous “city of love”. Now in my second time, I discovered the city of love, and I’m not talking about being with someone! Yes, in being with you and finding love in the delicacy of architecture, in the decoration of cute bistros or listening to musicians performing in the late afternoon of the Jardin des Tuileries or sitting down to eat a snack at Jardin du Luxembourg Paris brings art both in its museums but also to be contemplated on the street for everyone 🤍

Stay safe on the roads and on public transport. Avoid tourist scams and you’ll be fine. The French that I have met are kind and friendly. The food depends on the shop you visit, really. So choose wisely :)) Lots of activities to do, especially for those who love arts.

I live in Paris and would say it’s pretty safe. It can depend on the arrondissement in which you’re in : some places in the 18th and the 19th would not be great at night. But overall I think it’s pretty safe.

In the city center it's very good, beyond I'm not sure i have been harassed couple of times verbally. However I'm still coming back on feet from city center to my place, drunk in the middle of the night and im good ^^
Posted: October 22, 2025Paris isn't that unsafe. It depends on where you are and at what time. Public transport late in the night when they are empty can feel unsafe. However as long as there are people around I feel safe in Paris.
Posted: October 21, 2025Really depends on where you are staying in Lyon, just try to be careful and not go near dangerous neighborhood like Guillotiere or Part Dieu too late at night. If you ride the bus at night, from 9pm you can ask the driver to stop in between official stops if its closer to where you are staying, to be safer.
Posted: October 21, 2025It is safe but not always especially at night with the homeless people everywhere and some of them are drunk and violent or on drugs... Even in the subway always watch your belongings there's a lot of thieves. During the day it's safe .
