Grenoble

I'm not feeling in danger or anythings like that in my city but I Know that some danger existe so you have to be car full but not paranoïc. Most of the people there are very safe and dont worry, media always talk about the city in a bad way but in reality it's much much safer

Paris

Paris is generally safe, especially in tourist areas. Watch for pickpockets, avoid certain suburbs at night, and stay alert in crowds. Public transport is usually sure. Protests and strikes ça often occeur but aee usually peaceful. Basic precautions always needed.

Lille

I was in Lille for about 3 months for school (I was 20 years old and about 4’11 (150cm). During which I lived about 30 minutes from my school and 10 minutes from the main city area and would walk very early all the way until very late at night. I took public transportation during the day and it was very clean and safe ( and on time!). When I was walking at night I did walk by myself frequently and NEVER felt threatened or unsafe! The main areas are very lit up and because of the nightlife you will still see lots of people even in the early morning hours

France

France is a very safe country, as a girl I will say it's totally fine to get there solo. You can walk at all time alone in the street, but be carefull about strangers that are offering you drinks at a bar.

Brest

I generally feel very comfortable in the city center. I spend a lot of time in Les Capusins, in particular, and feel very safe and comfortable there. During the day, I have no qualms about walking around or jogging outside. Most of the people I've met are open and very friendly. In the evening, you do sometimes meet strange men. But I feel safe on the buses. It's fine on the tram in the evening, but I sometimes feel uncomfortable.

Rouen

During the day, Rouen is relatively safe. I recommend staying on the right bank of the Seine. At night, you should avoid certain places like the "Place du Vieux Marché". Besides, there are many small, unlit alleys in Rouen. The lively places (where you find the bars and nightclubs) are very close together and when you move away, you can quickly feel alone.

Aix-en-Provence

This city is actually very calm and welcoming, at night there are quite drunk people but nothing ever happened to me, people may talk to you and be kinda annoying but nothing really bad happens and there are always king people to help out anyway

Roubaix

In the few months I have been staying here, I have not experienced any safety issues. However, some friends tell me to beware of being robbed in the metro and also to not walk alone during the night. I once did experience cat calling around 11pm on a weekend :(

Strasbourg

I think in Strasbourg it depends on the quarter. Some feel pretty safe, like Petite France or Robertsau. But, as all big city, some quarters are a bit dangerous for a woman alone. I prefer not to be alone in those. But transports are ok late at night.

Reims

I’ve been living in Reims for several years. I’ve experienced violence on public transport, and honestly, it’s hard to spend a morning, afternoon, or night alone as a woman without being stopped or harassed by men. That said, I generally feel safe during the day. At night, I stay alert and walk fast — especially when I’m alone.

Germany

Brest, Solo travel

I'm here as an exchange student from Germany. I stayed 2 month already and I really like the sea, the château, les Capucins, the public transport and the open-minded people. I feel save walking and joggging alone at the day. Sometimes when it begins to get dark i feel scared of some strange man. But in the buses i feel always safe and comfortable. The tram is okay in the evenings but not always that confortable alone. Especially when you are a young woman. All in all I would recommend to visit this beautiful city and mabey you also will fall in love with the language, people and the charm of this city. Best wishes

Nice Côte d'Azur, Group travel

Nice was pretty safe, considering I was also traveling with 3 other girls. We booked an airbnb for 5 days and ended up spending 400 euros in total including our flights. We covered Marseille, Nice, Eze, Villefranche-sur-mer, Monaco, Menton, Grasse, Mougins and Cannes. The public transport is very convenient and well connected near Nice and is extremely safe.

About Me

I only travel alone so I can meet new people and my favourite activities while traveling are waking up at 5am or earlier and hiking all day long ‼️ I can't offer a room to stay but I'm your go-to person if you're into hiking (my cardio begs to differ but a strong will is enough to climb mountains) or discovering historical places I also love to party but only with earplugs in protect your cochlear ladies 🙏🏻🙏🏻
