From my perspective, I feel safe in Grenoble, because I have in mind that it is a city and of course, it can be dangerous. I take caution, but I had very few problems while living here for 4 years. I'd say that it is always better accompagnied, but even walking alone at night doesn't feel very scary, as I live in the centre of the city.
Posted: April 15, 2025Toulouse is a very safe city, sometimes, people drink too much and can be annoying in the metro or in the street (mainly Saturday nights), but overall, it’s a pretty nice place to be in. There are some places to avoid if you don’t wanna take risks, but the city center is very safe.

A quiet town in the Médoc, very pleasant. Nothing has ever happened to me here; some men are gruff but wouldn't dare cause harm in public. Women can travel peacefully here (but, as everywhere, you have to be careful if you're walking alone at night).

Of course, at some places it's not very safe. We have to stay careful but where I study (in Aix-en-Provence) it's not dangerous (if we think without the exceptions). In Marseille, men are watching you more and try to talk to you. But it's France 's second biggest city, but it stays okay :)

I think Lyon is a safe place, but it can be unsafe for women as in a lot of cities However, I've never been harassed or sexually assaulted even when I had to walk at night as a young teenager You need to be careful but if you are, Lyon is really a safe place especially during the day, and if something happens to you people might react and help you!
Posted: April 15, 2025City area and public transports are safe except few old lyon areas where people look suspicious of crime and looks like pick pocketer and wasted sometimes.overall its safe place to live in i felt.parks are good to walk around

Lorient, like all cities, has a crime rate, but it's not that high, I'd say. It's mostly drugs related crimes that i hear about in the news, like drug traffic. I've never heard something extremely shocking, like murder or rape cases. Of course, you may be approached by men, like in every city, and I don't know if I'm lucky, but those men who approached me left me alone quite quickly when I said no. The worst that has happened to a friend was to be followed for a bit in the streets :/ Of course you don't wanna go alone in weird places at night like everywhere else but I'd say I feel pretty safe in Lorient.

Paris is mostly safe, especially in tourist areas. Pickpocketing can happen in crowded places. Stay aware, avoid dark areas at night, and you’ll enjoy the city without major concerns. The public transport can be dangerous at night

Safe ! Might only be a bit unsafe on certain areas in the North and some arrondissements, but most of them are perfectly fine I mostly have an experience coming from trips late, or leaving too early in the morning for flights, never had an issue, felt safe walking, taking transport, etc.

Well, I'm a very anxious person so I tend to sur estimate the danger everywhere. The public transportation is great, I take it everyday and nothing bad happens to me but.. sometimes there are strange people like everywhere who make me afraid (hopefully the security is here in case). I don't really go out at night but the time that I did nothing really happened so I think it may be safe to go out at night.

I went to Paris last year for a college summer elective course. It was a great trip and honestly overwhelming because there's simply so much to see and do. I did end up getting food poisoning on the first day and had to spend a few days lying in bed which wasnt fun. But despite that i managed to visit a lot of places, and some of the highlights were: 1)Going to the top of the eiffel tower at sunset. I honestly did not plan this because i thought it would be overrated but it became a core memory moment. I went just as they were closing, around 11 pm, so there was no line and i managed to get tickets for much cheaper than what i saw online, and the sunset view from the top was beautiful. Not to mention, the tower started sparkling right when i stepped out onto the second floor and it honestly felt magical. 2)Taking a river cruise along the seine. I took this cruise also around sunset so the whole golden hour made it that much more prettier 3)Sainte Chapelle. Having studied about this building in college, it was so cool to get to see it in person. The gothic architecture, stained glass windows...it is gorgeous. 4)Roaming around the streets of montmarte in the evening. Or just simply roaming around the streets of Paris in general. 5)Claude Monet's house and gardens in giverny. It's just a few hours away from Paris and really beautiful. Monet is someone i studied and researched about a lot as part of college assignments so again it was pretty cool to get to see his paintings and the infamous water lillies in person.
Posted: April 15, 2025Experienced: May, 2024Antibes is such a nice city!!! I totally recommend it! My favorite place is the cafe nomads, such delicious pastries and drinks, just wow!! The baristas are also really sweet and nice, just lovely ❤️ If it’s warm I recommend going to the beach, but the best thing about Antibes is, that you can easily get to other cities by train, like Nice, Grasse and Cannes🙌🏼

I only travel alone so I can meet new people and my favourite activities while traveling are waking up at 5am or earlier and hiking all day long ‼️ I can't offer a room to stay but I'm your go-to person if you're into hiking (my cardio begs to differ but a strong will is enough to climb mountains) or discovering historical places I also love to party but only with earplugs in protect your cochlear ladies 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi, I'm Amandine ! I'm 19, and I'm a French student who's willing to travel more and discover the world in my twenties. I haven't had the chance to travel in a lot of places when I was younger, but discovering many new places and cultures is something I really want to do in my life. I haven't done a solo trip out of France yet, but I hope to find the courage and opportunity to do it soon ! I heard about this app and thought that it would be a great opportunity to meet girls around the world, discover cultures through real people and eventually feel safer if I decide to travel alone in a foreign country !
