Safe but it's better to avoid some district at night. If staying in the main city center like Le Louvre or Chatelet, I find it safe, but definitely avoid places around Paris, especially North and East : these places are not safe as a woman during the night. Also, just be careful of pickpocket in the metro and tourist places (especially iPhone users).

The city is quite quiet and the inhabitants are not aggressive. I can walk around alone during the day without any problem, but at night I prefer to be with others. I have my own car and can pick you up from the train station or airport if I am available.

I’ve lived in Bordeaux for quite some time and never had any problems. I love going out at night and often come home late. I do feel a bit scared especially in small / dark streets because sometime drunk teenagers or guys can talk to you but it usually doesn’t last long. In you don’t answer and walk away they just stop. But that’s really in specific places. Overall Bordeaux is really a safe city to be
Posted: October 24, 2024It depends on the area. I advise you to avoid the north (Saint Denis). If you are in touristic areas the worst that can happen is being robbed by pickpockets. I've never been assaulted or robbed but since I know the place I don't know if it's very representative. Just know that in France justice is very low and not efficient so if something happens to you I might never have justice back. I used to go home very late alone after party and nothing ever happened to me. Buses are the safest way to move. They are some weird people but most of them are harmless.
Posted: October 23, 2024I don't recommend using the metro because there are usually gangs there that rob travelers. I also do not recommend keeping your phone or money in a visible place. Beware of dark alleys and places where there are few people.

I've been living alone in Paris since I was 17, and I almost never had a bad experience. A few years ago, men would sometimes talk to me on the street, but since #metoo, that doesn't happen at all anymore. I've always lived in the southern districts (15th, 14th), which are very family-oriented and very safe, and I've never had any issues coming home alone at night. I'm less familiar with the northern areas, but my friends tell me that the situation has improved a lot in recent years. I've never experienced sexual assault.
Posted: October 15, 2024Paris is generally safe, but it's important to be cautious, especially in the 10th, 18th, and 19th arrondissements, which can be dangerous, particularly at night. Never fall asleep in an Uber or on public transportation when alone, and be mindful of your drinks during parties or nights out. Be careful on the streets as well, as there are many cases of women being followed. Overall, Paris is calm, but it's important to watch out for pickpockets, especially in the metro.
Posted: October 15, 2024Paris is a very safe town big like any big city you must be careful. Watch your stuff and don't stay out too late or drunk. But overall, à very safe cité and cool town to visit. It's all about Being mindful of your surroundings

I traveled to Paris for the first time as a solo traveler, and I could not have been happier with my experience! The locals were friendly & helpful, the food was spectacular, and the history & art in the city is unlike anywhere else in the world. My experience was further improved by being fairly proficient in French. This was a great way to connect with locals, ask for help when needed, and overall feel more immersed in the culture. See the Eiffel Tower, go to the Louvre, and order yourself a Croissant or Pain Au Chocolat. And don't forget to take the metro to anywhere you want to go in Paris! It's super affordable and easy to navigate with Google Maps.
Posted: November 19, 2024Experienced: November, 2024First of all, If you will go to see attractions take metro card. Each ticket costs 2.16€ . So If you make more than 10 rides, it worth to get 10 ticket package. We stayed only 2-3 days. We thought that we can do “walk travel”. But it is impossibly hard. Starting from Louvre museum, legs hurts. SO WEAR MUCH COMFORTABLE SHOES. We booked budget hotel far from center. Actually we didn’t know that it was so far. But If you use metro it’s ok. Near the Luxembourg park we found gelato cafe. Their ice-cream was so so good. If I’m not mistaken cafe called “amorino”. Have a nice trip ladies
