I don't go out much in Nimes, though. But I've already gone out alone late at night to get something to eat. Obviously, it depends where in Nimes. Generally, in the center, I've never had any problems. otherwise Les jardins de la Fontaine are very beautiful but they are closed in the evening in any case I don’t rlly recommend is prettier during the day

I think Nîmes is quiet safe like everywhere, you just have to be in the places where there are people and stay in the center. People are pretty kind and will not bother you. BUT there is an exception during the feria, at this moment it can be more dangerous but stay with somebody and everything will be fine (there is police around).

Nîmes is a beautiful city in south of France. It’s a very eclectic city and there is a lot of safe place. Some neighborhoods are not safe but it’s a little part of the city where nobody goes. There is nothing to visit here.

From my personal experience, Nîmes feels quite safe. Walking around the city, even in the evenings, didn't raise any concerns. Police were often visible, especially around the main attractions and during events, which added to the sense of security. Overall, as long as you stay aware of your surroundings, you should have no problems exploring and enjoying what Nîmes has to offer.

Hi! I'm a spanish artist living in the south of France! I organise languages exchanges and multi cultural events for the city but my passion is Traditional Animation ✨🫰 I also love a good jam session, going to a concert, watching movies or late night talks in balconies.
