Nice is a partially safe city. Some neighborhoods are more to be feared than others, and I don't recommend going home alone at night. I often take ubers to get home to avoid altercations with drunk or suspicious men. The city is lit up at night, but not in every district.
Posted: February 4, 2025Nice is a great place , near the beach with a lot of tourist so it’s pretty safe , people from all over the world come there . I never had any problem but for sure as everywhere in the world we need to be careful and watch are belong

The city centre is very well lit even after midnight, there's always some people outside. Some neighbourhoods are known for being more dangerous (Ariane, Moulins) but nothing crazy. There's lots of camera around town and police are always near.

It’s a nice city where you can walk and enjoy it freely. As every city, don’t go to bad neighborhoods but they are not close to the touristic area so you will be fine as long as you are acting normal 😉

Nice cote d’azur is so safe , i lived here since 2019. I advice y’all to come the summer ! It’s soooo cool here. Winter is cold tho, i don’t recommend , june/july/august/September are the best , enjoyyyy 🥰
Posted: January 18, 2025It feels safe during the day but gets scarier at night.Usually if I need to go somewhere later at night I ask my brother to come with me.Chose crowded places and u r gonna be okay. But be careful with ur handbag anyway.
Posted: January 2, 2025Around the train station, especially at night, there’s always men talking to you and sometimes following you… But in the day, there’s many police officers or military that turn around for safety. There’s also a lot of cameras and police call station all around the city.
Posted: December 30, 2024Nice is pretty safe but it depends on the neighborhood you are in, especially in the north of the city. There are many strange people in the center but they don't bother you. I have been to many cities in France and Nice is still pretty safe but still you need to be careful !
Posted: December 26, 2024The daily life in Nice is quite safe. if you stay in the touristy areas such as Avenue Jean Médecin, Vieux Nice, Promenade des anglais, Place Massena, there’s no much to worry about. During night it’s better to stay in the main street and areas, even in the old town make sure to not take narrowest streets.

As all big cities, some areas are not the most recommended but the touristy and central areas feel very safe. The only risk to keep in mind is pickpockets, and some scams in the streets rarely (and not very elaborate). It is also an area that has inhabitants that come from multiple countries and cultures so there doesn't tend to be negativity or unpleasant attitudes towards people of other ethnicities.

Nice is a great central city un south France. It's easy to access by trains, plains or buses and allows you to visit beautiful villages around. I felt safe even at night during my solo trip of 4 nights.

I felt very safe even walking at night. I was based in Cannes, but did day trips to Nice and Monaco. I would just be careful on the trains as they can get full very quickly and this is a good target for pickpockets. Other than that, I always felt very nice and there’s a strong tourist infrastructure
