Toulouse is a beautiful city, really amazing with wonderful people. I love it and it’s such a good vibe, it’s chill, everybody is nice and fun. But just in like any city in France it’s not very safe. However, so far the worst i experienced is being cat called and men talking bad. I’m always being careful when I’m alone or at night. But it’s been 2 years since I’m here and nothing bad happened

I've lived there most of my life, and I'd say it's a safe place. But as a young girl, and later as a woman, I still experienced my fair share of physical and verbal abuse. There are neighbourhoods and streets to avoid at certain hours of the night.
Posted: August 16, 2025Toulouse is fairly safe, but I'd encourage you to stay in the city center. There's lots to do and people are pretty nice. There will always be your catcalling classic guy, but they're pretty harmless (as long as you stay around people, you won't be scared I think). There's lots of homeless people but they're mostly nice but know that you WILL be asked for money when you're in a bar. Look at a public transportation map : I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere farther than Arènes / Argoulets for the A line ; Minimes / Empalot for the B line

It depends on the place in Toulouse, for exemple Arènes and Mirail are some places that are pretty unsafe at night for women, though Esquirol, Capitole and Jean Jaurès are places that are pretty safe at night for women. Overall Toulouse is a pretty safe place in my opinion, more than some other cities in France, women stand up for eachother here.

I would say that Toulouse is a very pleasant city, especially as a woman. You can walk there during the day and the evening alone or accompanied. But when it is dark, it's a different story. You must avoid certain neighborhoods, not walk alone and keep under light and place with people.

Yes, I feel mostly safe there, but man also can make me feel terrible, sorry I loved to going on a foot walk along the river, unbelievable view! I'm had budget and stand in family house, so no needs for paying rent. Also we liked to pick up packages of food that were about to expire (this helps both save money and preserve nature). And the food there was really good and tasty.
