Toulouse is a nice city for safe travels, of course we always need to be aware of what is going on around us but I never had real troubles living there. It also depends where you go in Toulouse, but the center and touristic places are fine.
Posted: October 12, 2024Toulouse's safety varies by neighborhood. Capitole and Saint-Cyprien are lively and generally safe, with police presence. Carmes and Côte Pavée are calm residential areas. Mirail and Empalot face higher crime rates. Safety improves with vigilance, especially in the evening.
Posted: September 13, 2024Pretty safe as in Europe and France in general but still a big city so some parts are less safe than others (but they are usually poorer and don't have any touristic appeal. In the center 95% safe but yeah, still a big city so you still need to be cautious but not more than others French cities!
Posted: August 7, 2024It's a safe city, of course you can have bad experiences, but generally speaking except in specific places I feel good in almost any outfit to walk around alone at night. The metro is very safe and closes late.
Posted: August 5, 2024Overall Toulouse is a safe town but it’s better to be back home probably before 12pm, I do feel safe during the day time to walk around, I feel generally it’s a safe town and people are quite helpful

Toulouse is a welcoming city with friendly people. Its city center is very alive. Some areas are not advised to be visited but they are usually grouped together so it's easy to recognize them. The food here is great and the transport is quite efficient 😊
Posted: July 14, 2024Toulouse is generally safe, with low violent crime rates. It's a popular student city with good public transportation and well-patrolled tourist areas. Basic precautions ensure a secure visit. I highly recommend it!
Posted: July 9, 2024Toulouse is pretty much safe depending on the time of the day When there is a lot of events in the city center it is safe but in some empty streets it can be somehow dangerous especially far from the city center

Toulouse is a rather safe city. Of course, some neighbourhood are less safe than others, mainly at night, but they are not the ones you will want to discover if you come to visit Toulouse, so no worries.
Posted: June 14, 2024I think Toulouse is quite safe, but it really depends on were you go Some places like the center are very busy and safe, even late, because there is a lot of people But some roads, with less people, I feel less safe, so I try to avoid them at night, but during the day I think Toulouse is pretty chill

Easy to travel, safe at night, lots of vintage and an tique markets, beautiful city. Better to travel there during the fall since the city is so hot during the summer! The Botanical garden at Museum de Toulouse is a must.

Spain
It was a trip not very far from home, from the south of Spain, but it was one of my first solo trips. I didn't have much of a budget, so I chose Toulouse because I found a very cheap flight. The city in general seems safe to me, although I had some alarming experiences on the outskirts; a man followed me for a long time and it was hard to dissuade him. I would avoid the periphery if you don't know someone from the area, but in the center, I never had any problems. If you travel alone, you'll surely find another traveler in the same situation on the river steps watching the sunset.
