How safe is Île-de-France?

France is a fairly safe country, you often get hit on by heavyweights which can be a pain, and it's true that if you go to certain areas in Paris you can get robbed but as a general rule it's always safe I've never been robbed or mugged, after all it depends on the area but as a general rule it's safe.

Part of the Île-de-France région can be considered very safe, but you need to be careful in certain sensitive neighborhoods and also be mindful of How you behave in thèse areas. In Paris, the neighborhoods are magnificent and very beautiful, but you have to be careful of pickpockets who are very numerous, as well as scams.

I think it’s not bad, honestly it could probably be better but gun are banned in this country, which makes it safer. Make sure you know which areas are safe and which are not. As a women you need to be careful for sure because man still man. But if you check carefully before coming I’m sure you’ll have a good trip

It is safe at night with a bike especially. I never experienced something annoying even if I go out every weekend. I would recommend wondering around by bike though it is safer than public transportation.

It feels safe to move around and discover different places. I’ve been here for almost a year and experienced 0 harassment, even though I am still a bit worried to walk late alone, I’ve never had a problem.

Is Île-de-France worth visiting?

Solo travel

I enjoyed my vacation in france during summer , thus , it was really expensive, my budget was 600€ for one month but it wasnt enough ( hotels and food not included because i was staying at family’s house) . Transportation via metro was very comfortable and punctual and it was affordable ,there also were bikes everywhere that you could rent . Nightlife was great
