Like any big city like paris it is a bit unsafe when it’s dark and in some neighbourhood. However, in the day and in crowded areas it is safe just be careful in the metro to not get your belongings stolen.
Posted: August 1, 2025It depends on the area and time of the day! Overall, it’s pretty safe especially if you’re with someone. However, as a woman, you can feel unsafe in certain areas and be bothered by some creeps (or mentally unstable people who will shout at you) a few times on the street or in public transport :/
Posted: July 30, 2025Paris is quite safe but it can depend of the zone or the arrondissement you are. In some you can run into a few drunk people or drug addicts after 7pm. I avoid going out during big public events because people tend to become a bit uncontrollable. But I can say the the city is quite safe for a women.

Overall Paris is a safe city, I'll be happy to indicate which place to avoid for girls to be safe. My home is on a safe place end very near (1min walk) to a metro station so I'm not worried in my daily life.

i won't be lying saying it's 100% safe because men 💀 it can happened to be follow on the streets, being harassed or assaulted. i think it depends people's experiences. never have any bad experiences around montreuil, aubervilliers, pantin and on some arrondissments in paris be careful because people are saying 18th and 19th are the less safe arrondissments but they're just racists. it won't happened more than in others

Safe, but you must respect safety rules by taking care of your belongings and choosing safe neighborhoods. Increase your caution in busy tourist areas. Stay accompanied preferably at night and use taxis to get home.

My partner and I went to Paris before visiting my hometown. We had a lovely time while I showed him around, as he had never been there before. We even went to many thrift shops, as well as lovely cafes and restaurants. We also visited Versailles and the gorgeous parks. I felt quite safe with him there, but the metro system wasn’t functioning properly at the time. If you do decide to go, I’d recommend preparing for the possibility that trains and metros might be down.
Posted: July 26, 2025At St Christopher's Inn, a hostel. I liked it and it's really not expensive. For my first experience traveling alone I felt not freaked out but a little scared I guess. I would recommend that hostel tho
