It's a moderately big town (around 60k inhabitants) and apart from the Argentine neighbourhood, i'd say it is pretty safe. I never really had the occasion to walk alone at night, but i've walked alone in daytime and had a problem "just" once in many times. So yeah in daytime i'd say it's pretty safe, and nighttime idk, sorry !

The city is quite quiet and the inhabitants are not aggressive. I can walk around alone during the day without any problem, but at night I prefer to be with others. I have my own car and can pick you up from the train station or airport if I am available.
