Since I come here I really like the city. There is nothing to worried about during the night specially because the police always is around .But anyway people are nice and even for example in the uni when you leave the library at night if you one one person from uni can accompany you to tour home

Augsburg is quite safe in my Opinion. Of course you can never be 100% sure, that nothing is going to happen, and maybe don't put yourself in risky Situations in the first place. But overall Augsburg is a safe place!

In generell augsburg is a very safe city, the only people who are really out and about in the dark are students hanging around bars or walking home from. In normal day to day life there also isn't a outstanding threat. People tend to be helpful if your in need and the police is quick to arrive if anything happens.
Posted: March 5, 2024we felt safe during the day but sometimes when it got dark, there were a lot of wannabe-gangsters around the bus stations. but nothing bad ever happened. we recommend pretty much all the sights we visited, the golden room was very pretty and there's a lot of detail so you could spend hours looking at the murals, the fuggerei was interesting, there's a dig site right beside the dome... we lived in an airbnb outside of the city centre, about an 20min bus ride to the main attractions. the busses drove regularly and we had no issue getting around. the biggest problems we had was with leaving our luggage at the train stations. we could not find a safe to put them in so we had to leave early.
