we felt safe during the day but sometimes when it got dark, there were a lot of wannabe-gangsters around the bus stations. but nothing bad ever happened. we recommend pretty much all the sights we visited, the golden room was very pretty and there's a lot of detail so you could spend hours looking at the murals, the fuggerei was interesting, there's a dig site right beside the dome... we lived in an airbnb outside of the city centre, about an 20min bus ride to the main attractions. the busses...

I feel very comfortable as a woman in the city; however, I wouldn't walk around alone at night, but I wouldn't do that in any city. Most people are very nice and respectful.

Since I‘m living here all my life, I feel very safe. Sadly, I have made some negative exchanges, but not many over the years. Overall, I don’t have any fears when I‘m alone, even when it‘s dark. I don’t need to worry at all.

Augsburg does have a high crime rate but its mostely the use of cannabis. There are two places in the center of Augsburg that are a bit unsafe and that Königsplatz and Oberhauser bhf but thats only when its dark and also than if you just keep to yourself and don’t look for trouble with the homeless its not a big deal königsplatz is better than oberhausen because that the literal center and there are junkie sonly sometimes but just avoid them and you are fine tgey are really nothing tk be scared...
