Augsburg does have a high crime rate but its mostely the use of cannabis. There are two places in the center of Augsburg that are a bit unsafe and that Königsplatz and Oberhauser bhf but thats only when its dark and also than if you just keep to yourself and don’t look for trouble with the homeless its not a big deal königsplatz is better than oberhausen because that the literal center and there are junkie sonly sometimes but just avoid them and you are fine tgey are really nothing tk be scared of

Overall I think Augsburg is a safe city. In comparison to the rest of Germany and worldwide I think female travellers will feel comfortable and should not be too worried. Of course it is always important to still watch out for one self, especially as a woman!

Over all very safe. there are a lot of university students, so the is some nightlife, but since there live a lot of middle aged people it’s also very very low in crime or the lack of safety. there may be a weird guy in public transport, but they never do anything more than staring. so it kinda can make you feel uncomfortable but nothing ever happens really

I think that you can feel safe as a woman in Augsburg. Any time there is an event they have a lot of police, firemen and ambulances there just in case because drunk people can get rowdy. Other than that there is also police doing there rounds on usual days.

since i am living in augsburg me and my friends never had bad or negative experiences with people here, but i am totally aware of scary/weird guys in public places but you don’t have to worry if you mind your own business. stay safe<3
Posted: January 21, 2025we felt safe during the day but sometimes when it got dark, there were a lot of wannabe-gangsters around the bus stations. but nothing bad ever happened. we recommend pretty much all the sights we visited, the golden room was very pretty and there's a lot of detail so you could spend hours looking at the murals, the fuggerei was interesting, there's a dig site right beside the dome... we lived in an airbnb outside of the city centre, about an 20min bus ride to the main attractions. the busses drove regularly and we had no issue getting around. the biggest problems we had was with leaving our luggage at the train stations. we could not find a safe to put them in so we had to leave early.

Heyy, I'm Xenia 😊 I love traveling and meeting to people as they open up new perspectives :) Maybe we can help each other practicing languages if we meet :3 I study business psychology in Augsburg and would love to show people the beauty of my city :) Next to my studies I am working on a start up and we're currently looking for a person in App programming to join us 🙃
