Aachen is very Safe!!!!!!! I feel very safe walking around at night and have never felt threatened by anyone. Sometimes there will be some homeless people or drug addicts that act a bit suspicious but they usually do not come after you.
Posted: September 9, 2024Aachen is a really safe German city. There are quite a few homeless people around but usually nothing to worry about in terms of safety. At Hansemannplatz there are quite a few drug addicts and the Rothe Erde district has a higher rate of criminals therefore I would recommend to skip these places during our visit. Aachen being a student city with the big RWTH university there are lots of young people here and also at nighttime there are many students outside so nothing to worry about when staying out late at night.

Aachen is quite safe, a lot of Students and young people. During the night time there might be some scetchy people on the street but most of the times there is other people around. In the old town part and the bar area around Pontstraße there is a lot of life all day and I usually feel really safe because of all the young people around.

Aachen is quite safe, but different places for example Bushof are not so safe. You shouldn’t walk through Aachen City alone during the night, but the suburbs are fine! Eilendorf, Brand of Frankenberger Viertel are fine at night.
Posted: May 16, 2024In most of Aachen city the is absolutely no problem walking alone at night. There are almost always people on the streets 😂. Outside of Aachen city there are some places I wouldn’t recommend going to, but as a tourist you wouldn’t even think about going

You can go anywhere around the city of Aachen! The streets are safe and even the parks are great to stay in during summer or winter🌞 It’s very inviting to everyone who wants to explore this city, and get to know the German culture
Posted: March 12, 2024I visited for an exhibition and to see the cathedral which is very ancient. Aachen is a beautiful town and very safe. I stayed centrally and it was an easy walk frim the station, and very easy to get everywhere on foot.
