Is Aachen worth visiting?

Solo travel

I visited for an exhibition and to see the cathedral which is very ancient. Aachen is a beautiful town and very safe. I stayed centrally and it was an easy walk frim the station, and very easy to get everywhere on foot.

Aachen is very Safe!!!!!!! I feel very safe walking around at night and have never felt threatened by anyone. Sometimes there will be some homeless people or drug addicts that act a bit suspicious but they usually do not come after you.

Aachen is a really safe German city. There are quite a few homeless people around but usually nothing to worry about in terms of safety. At Hansemannplatz there are quite a few drug addicts and the Rothe Erde district has a higher rate of criminals therefore I would recommend to skip these places during our visit. Aachen being a student city with the big RWTH university there are lots of young people here and also at nighttime there are many students outside so nothing to worry about when staying out late at night.
