I visited for an exhibition and to see the cathedral which is very ancient. Aachen is a beautiful town and very safe. I stayed centrally and it was an easy walk frim the station, and very easy to get everywhere on foot.

at the hbf area there might be drunk people but they are usually harmless. There are also night busses on the weekends till 2am Most crowded street is ponttor and there are always students on the streets, its a young city bushof is slightly less safe other than that its safe enough to come home alone after midnight as a woman
Posted: November 12, 2025Aachen is a city at the border of Belgium and The Netherlands. I personally never had any issues even though I like going out late. The only concern is that there’re a lot of homeless people and drug addicted people on the streets. It depends on where you go.
Posted: August 19, 2025All in all, Aachen is a safe city with a lot of students living there. The typical places you should avoid at night are the region around Kaiserplatz (there are a lot of homeless people and junkies) they usually do not do anything, but you never know, and it is better to avoid the region around the Rothe Erde, as well as Aachen Bushof (the busstation area) and the trainstation there. Stay safe! I generally avoid parks in the dark.
Posted: July 23, 2025Aachen is a really small and cute city. Like all German cities you can see some homeless person in the street but they are not dengerous. I’ve been living for 4 months here and ı have never experienced any dangerous situation.

Hello everyone! My name is Emily. I am half French half Ecuadorian. I was born in Barcelona, Spain and I also lived six years in Ecuador. I am 23 years old and live in Aachen Germany where I also work as a financial analyst at a freight company. I am very interested in new cultures and also in getting to know new people from all over the world. I travel a lot and enjoy it so much!! I am starting my big travel in October and I would really enjoy spending time and staying with local women :) I am very friendly and open to new experiences. As I speak for languages it is easy to communicate with new people and is a very big advantage while meeting new people 🫶🏼
