Poznan is a really safe city, but obviously has it flaws. Sometimes at night on main streets there may be drum people especially on weekends but it’s bc of the clubs and they’re not dangerous. Never felt unsafe

i think poznan, and overall poland is pretty safe. i can say that i have left my things in open spaces, like gallery, for around 10/15 minutes and came back to them in one piece, without having anything stolen :) apart from drunken men, there is nothing much to worry about, but as we know, women must be quite alert at all times.
Posted: April 21, 2025Poznan is overall a safe city, the streets are clean and the city center is almost never devoid of people (usually students partying). There sometimes appear situation of catcalling, but I'd say it's getting more rare each year (in any case, I usually ignore it and people don't get agressive). You also shouldn't worry too much if you are visiting as a same-sex couple, since Poznań is thought to be the most LGBTQ+ friendly city of Poland.

Poznań is one of the safest cities you can stay in. There’s no fear for a woman to walk alone at night. Always stay cautious but overall safety is high and no need to fear. In the center you can meet some homeless people but they’re rather harmless and if they approach you, you can gently say no and they will walk away.
Posted: April 14, 2025Poznań is pretty safe city if you "don't look for trouble". I was feeling safe going about 3am at the weekend alone to my house at "one of more dangerous" nibergood in Poznań. The bad situation I only know from the headlines and me or my friends never had any

Poznan, as most of Poland, is very safe. I am a woman and I walk / take public transport by myself regularly and I do not feel frightened. There might be some drunk person here and there but just ignore them and you should be fine.
Posted: April 10, 2025It all depends on the part of the city- the old town and some other parts might be full of drunkards after dark, where other parts are bustling with life and are quite safe. Overall I'd recommend not to walk alone if you're worried. Locals usually won't bother you if they see you're from abroad but that depends

I feel very safe in all the polish cities. Polish society is still very patriarchal though and I have the awareness that not everyone respects women here so I am trying be aware if my surroundings at night.

Its a calm city, a lot better than East Europe like Belarus or West Europe like France. You dont have to be worried about walking home alone, but homosexuals can feel diffrently if acting very obviously or billing.

Poznan is a very small, yet very peaceful and beautiful city to visit, if you visit Poland. It is not so touristy, however packed with many amazing things to see. I visited this town with my two friends (both woman) and we felt safer than anywhere else even in the middle of the night. The people are very friendly here, and the prices are low.
