Poznań is almost always save in the daytime. The crime rate is low and its getting better and better with every year passing. Sexual harrasment is rare. There are some districts that are considered more dangerous at night - for example some streets in Łazarz or Dębiec or the surroundings of the main station. Nothing ever happened to me or my friends in Poznań at night, but i don’t recommend walking alone at night as a woman, especially in less crowded places

I feel safe in poznan all incidents i heard about were in news but nothing ever happend to me or my friends. Sometimes u can meet weird homeless ppl that ask u sth but u can just ignore and go away and you are all good.

I spend my whole life here and there was no time something bad has happened to me. I’ve never been robbed or assaulted and I walked in dark many times no matter the season of the year. Public transport is really safe too.
Posted: May 14, 2025depends on the place. generally safe to walk after dark but i'd still carry a pepper spray just in case. public transport very safe, worst that can happen is catcalling or drunk people shouting something at you and that's rare. in public transport its best to sit in the front of the vehicle close to the driver. safety very much depends on the area, in the city center it's relatively fine, occasional catcalling or a drunk guy pissing in a nook somewhere but that's it. just mind your business and youre ok. i'd be more cautious around łazarz, dębiec, and Półwiejska/Szkolna street at night. no risk of home invasion anywhere.
Posted: May 13, 2025Poznan is a really safe city, but obviously has it flaws. Sometimes at night on main streets there may be drum people especially on weekends but it’s bc of the clubs and they’re not dangerous. Never felt unsafe

i think poznan, and overall poland is pretty safe. i can say that i have left my things in open spaces, like gallery, for around 10/15 minutes and came back to them in one piece, without having anything stolen :) apart from drunken men, there is nothing much to worry about, but as we know, women must be quite alert at all times.

Poznan is a very small, yet very peaceful and beautiful city to visit, if you visit Poland. It is not so touristy, however packed with many amazing things to see. I visited this town with my two friends (both woman) and we felt safer than anywhere else even in the middle of the night. The people are very friendly here, and the prices are low.
