At night it can feel a bit unsafe, however generally I feel pretty safe there. Sometimes there is a situation in public transport with some drunk people that can do unexpected things, but really I haven't experienced any very dangerous situations

Wrocław is a safe city; people are friendly, and many young people will help you feel comfortable and safe in the area. There aren't many thefts or pickpockets, but it's best to be cautious anyway. In the evenings after 11 p.m., the city isn't bustling with life, especially outside the city center, and going out then can be risky because it's dark and empty. The districts you should watch out for are Nadodrze and Ołbin
Posted: August 15, 2025From my experience living and exploring Wrocław, I can say it’s a pretty safe city overall. During the day, walking around the Old Town, markets, and parks felt very comfortable and secure. At night, I’d still be cautious in quieter areas, but generally, the city feels welcoming and safe for solo travelers and students like me.

In general, its really safe, also after dark. Sometimes I’m scared of homeless people, but they’ re mostly calm. I always carry a pepper spray with me, but happily I’ve never had to use it. It’s necessary to be aware of your surrounding.

A random guy followed us. We were really afraid. I think he was a homeless guy. We delibaretly went into a church to get rid of him. But when we went outside after almost ten minutes, he was still there.
