Wrocław is a very safe city. I think you’ll find a lot of kind and helpful people there. That said, it’s still better to avoid dark alleys, areas far from the center, or parks after dark. And try to stay away from places where there aren’t many people around. I’ve lived in Wrocław for 7 years and I’ve never experienced anything dangerous, but sometimes you might come across someone who tries to bother you a little.

Quite safe A lot of students and tourists. I have been living in Wrocław for 10 years and never experienced issues. Even as a Ukrainian I feel safe here. A lot of people understand or talk in English
Posted: June 26, 2025I spend a lot of time in Wrocław, since I live right outside the city and I go to school here. Like in every city there are some weidos, you hear sometimes about robberies and things like that, but personally I never had a situations where I felt like I was in danger. You might have heard about "polish smile". If you don't know what that is - polish people don't smile a lot in public, and we like complaining a lot. But that dosn't mean they are grumpy - most people are very friendly and will be happy yo help you if you ask them

I’ve lived in Wrocław for 12 years now and have never had a bad experience. For most of that time, I was often out late, partying, and walking home alone at night - and I always felt safe. In my experience, locals are the safest and most respectful people here. It's usually tourists who can be a bit less mindful. If I ever felt uncomfortable, I’d always choose to approach a young Polish local - they’re usually kind and helpful. Overall, it’s a very safe city, even at night!

My city? Super safe. I walk my dog late at night like it’s no big deal, zero drama, zero stress. Never been robbed, and honestly, neither have my friends (we’re either very lucky or it’s just that safe). Unless you count overpriced coffee…

I have been living in Wrocław for 2 months and i did not experience any dangerous situations. The experience may vary but in my opinion it is a very safe city. People are helpful but not intrusive at the same time.

A random guy followed us. We were really afraid. I think he was a homeless guy. We delibaretly went into a church to get rid of him. But when we went outside after almost ten minutes, he was still there.

Wroclaw is a beautiful city! The Cathedral Island is definitely worth seeing. The city center has such cute buildings and it is a nice place to sit and take in the beauty. Also the little gnomes everywhere are adorable!
