Poland is considered by many as the safest European country and I definitely agree with it. All my friends from outside the country brought it up to my attention. They all feel safe and so do I. I can recall many situations when I would be walking by myself at 3am in the center and any safety issues didn’t even cross my mind.
Posted: February 9, 2025There is a lot of people in Wrocław in general so there is always someone that can help you. I had only one experience when some guy scared me during my night walk and I was born here. I know that you can't be 100% anywhere, but I would say that Wrocław is a city where I feel safe the most.
Posted: February 9, 2025Safe enough, although there's nothing to visit. It is a small city between two bigger cities—Warsaw and Łódź—so the crime rate is not that high. Also, there aren't many foreigners or homeless people.
Posted: February 8, 2025Safe place for a small woman to live with no fear. It's safe to walk around by yourself. I have lived in Portugal and this feels safer. People are polite and help you if you get lost, but even then they don't come too close.

Kraków is quite safe but drunk people during the night can be a burden. It is better to stay alert in the public transportation regarding because of the pickpocketing. But overall you can feel safe going around

Generally Warsaw is very safe for women. I live here for 7 years now and I had maybe 2 unpleasant incidents with men. There are certain parts of town where it's a bit more dangerous, but I was living in that area for 2 years and never had any problems. My female friends, local as well as foreigners all say they feel safe here compared to other places. Of course I wouldn't recommend walking around at night alone in some suburban areas but generally most of Warsaw is very safe.
Posted: February 7, 2025It all depends on the district, the city center can sometimes be dangeorus, mostky necause of homeless and drunk men, imigrannts from east etc. Normally one can feel very safe, except for weekends at night
Posted: February 5, 2025i think its a safe city. its not very big so not many things can happen. there isnt a lot of "bad" people. most of the parts of the city are pretty quiet and chill. i feel very safe and just good here

I believe the city centre is rather safe- a lot of police even in smaller streets, and if it comes to people I’m happy to say more and more are aware of each other. Public transport is safe, in the night I recommend to sit close to the bus/tram driver, and in the underground you have yellow phones to report creepy situation. Just a tip from me- always feel free to ask for help- both people on the street and guards and staff of restaurants/bar/clubs.
Posted: February 5, 2025I'd say overall it's a safe place for woman especially the centrum parts. İn those parts i don't usually worry about walking alone at night. However going deeper into the city there are some places that keep me on edge (like praga). I would still say in the morning it's fine but at night there are some men who walk around and if they see you standing alone they might try to come up to you and talk to you (making sexual offers) but i just said no and showed my phone and they went away so i can't say more about that.

I've been in Łódź during the day and I've felt pretty safe. I really recommend visiting the Museum of the City of Łódź, it's one of the best museums I've seen in Poland. I'm definietly thinking about coming back again to see some more cultural and historical landscapes.

Poland
Krakow is a really nice city to do all kinds of stuff from laying on the beach ( you should visit zakrzówek) to going clubbing (just go to the old town there is a lot of pubs and clubs) You should try "obwarzanek" and pierogis. If you have a lot of time you can go to polish Mountain (zakopane) or visit some historical places like aushitz-birkenau.
