I’m a visitor here. Comparing to some places where lived and traveled I feel quite safe. I would say it depends what area to live in plus private sense of feeling safe. I like that public transport works all night long here.

Warsaw is an incredibly clean city with a very low homelessness rate. Stay out of the area around the Central Train Station. Otherwise you're good to go. Plenty of street lights and Public transport running till 1am, it's well lit and safe.
Posted: July 1, 2025Warsaw is quite safe overall. You know, of course I would be careful about walking alone during the night, but compared to other European cities, it is better. Unfortunately, if you are person of color, you have to be extra careful :( I am white, but my POC friends have told me about the racism they experienced and situations that made them feel unsafe

It’s a very safe space even after sundown, i don’t feel threatened in the city center or anywhere near it. The suburbs are a bit more dangerous though, so if you plan on visiting nearby cities you should check with locals for advise!
Posted: June 13, 2025Warsaw is a very safe and welcoming city. I live here and often walk around alone, even in the evening, and I always feel calm and comfortable. Public transport is reliable, the streets are well-lit, and people are generally friendly. If you’re visiting, don’t worry – it’s a great place for solo female travelers. I’d be happy to meet up, share local tips, or show you around

I have lived in Warsaw all my life, and I’ve never felt threatened or witnessed any kind of attack. Overall, I find the city to be safe, especially in well-populated areas and during the daytime. Public transportation is generally reliable and safe, although, like in any big city, it’s always wise to stay aware of your belongings, particularly in crowded places. At night, certain neighborhoods might feel less comfortable to walk through alone, but with basic precautions, I personally haven’t had any negative experiences.

I recommend „Hala Koszyki”. A food court which has the cousins from around the world. Everyone will find something for themselves. Old town is so so so pretty and the subway works really well. There’s a lot more to see like Muzeum Kopernika :)

For me, the city of Warsaw is very beautiful, unfortunately I didn't like it because of the hustle and bustle🙃 On my next trip I'm thinking of going to Gdansk and make the most of this summer with my son 👶
