It's totally safe in my opinion, I live in the city center, walk alone there and in the Park Kościuszki in the darkness all the time. Everyone mind their business, no one is bothering, people are shy in general, no one is approaching.

In Katowice, it is generally safe, but it can be different on weekends near Mariacka Street. For women traveling alone, it might be challenging to move around there in the evening by themselves. Similarly, I advise avoiding the districts of Załęże and Szopienice.

Katowice is a relatively safe city. It all depends on where you are, but the immediate city center and downtown are very safe. There is no problem walking after dark and public transport is well-developed and quite safe.

Poland is generally very safe. There are relatively few unpleasant situations for women. Here in Katowice, I've been approached a few times, but I don't think I've ever felt really threatened. I have also never been robbed.

As in every place in the world, there are dangerous situations, But I still haven't heard of anything like that. I go for a run in the evenings, for walks, and it's safe. I've never witnessed any dangerous incidents

It is safe, but as in every city - u need to be careful. So its always better to stay in company, and avoid dark streets, or watch your belongings. But still I believe Poland is really safe. Much better than many countries

It is generally safe to be in the center, but it is advisable not to walk alone in the dark on the outskirts. There are many police officers in the city center. It’s best to avoid going out in the evening during matches. In my opinion, other neighborhoods aren’t very safe. However, people are generally nice and helpful, especially students, who tend to react quickly.

Safe place for a small woman to live with no fear. It's safe to walk around by yourself. I have lived in Portugal and this feels safer. People are polite and help you if you get lost, but even then they don't come too close.

It's pretty peaceful here, but as a woman I still have this unexplainable fear everywhere. It's definitely more unsafe for non polish people, but honestly it will shows up only verbally in most cases
