Overall, it was a very nice experience. I arrived very early in the morning, so it was still dark, but the city felt safe and calm. The streets were quiet and peaceful. I walked around until midday and people were kind, relaxed, and helpful. One person even stopped to chat with me, which made the experience feel very welcoming.

Katowice is a mix of old factories and new buildings. I liked visiting museums and listening to music there. The city center is small and easy to walk around. My time in Katowice was fun and relaxing.

Katowice is a safe city but sometimes you might feel unsafe alone at night when it's dark. I recommend carrying a pepper spray just in case but I have never needed to use it. No one has ever tried to rob me or anything but be carefull if any homeless person is around just in case - if you don't engage in any interaction with suspicious people you will be okay

Living here since I was 3 and can recommend! There's police everywhere, not much of dark areas and there's always someone to help you. I would say it just like everywhere - 1/100000 chance to anything to happen

It's generally really safe. I'm there almost every day, and nothing bad ever happened to me nor my friends. You don't have to worry about your safety both at night and day, but there's a lot of homeless people there. They're not dangerous, but they might cross some personal space.
