How safe is Gliwice for women?

Gliwice is a small city (compared to Warsaw or Cracow) where I was born and raised and always felt safe here. Ofc I’m always cautious cuz you never know but comparing it to other cities I’ve been to I can definitely assure you that you will feel safe here!

It's a busy city, lots of people from all over the world (especially international students). One issue is homelessness and alcoholism therefore you might meet people with those problems in the city but usually they don't bother people. At night as a woman i don't feel very safe but I'm not overly worried either.

It's safe in the downtown area. Occasionally in the evening, someone might catcall you on the street due to your appearance. I don't recommend solo travels in the evenings through districts distant from the city center.

About Me

Hey everyone!! I'm Alice, an almost 20 y/o student in Poland. I love travelling, meeting new people, experiencing new things, collecting stones, flowers and memories. I've already been to a few countries, mostly on Erasmus, but have never tried to do the couchsurfing, so I am very excited to try this out. Cant wait to meet you and share some joyful moments together!!! I can also tell you a bit about Poland or give you a walk in the town where I live, if you would be visiting my country. Bussi, ala <3
