It’s a lovely small town, people watch after each other. The police is fairly young and well trained, lots of women in uniforms, too. There are not a lot of incidents. People are helpful and kind and would help if someone is in distress.

Because Wismar is a really small city there’s not much going on. The police rate is pretty high so you feel very safe. Like in every other town there’s are some place you might not want to visit at night but that’s not an inconvenience. I feel super safe there, especially in the public transport and in the inner town
