Is Tubingen Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Tubingen

People are very friendly here! With nightlife and being a women alone on the street im still always mindful about my surroundings here. Ive lived here all my life and had only two strange situations with men on the street. Just be careful and mindful when on your own here! Also in one of my two bad experiences some other man stepped in and helped!

Tübingen is very safe, just around the main station at night there might be some strange people. But over all, I've never had bad experiences and neither my friends. The high amount of students contributes to a generally open minded and safe city.

It is a nice and rather small town, the infrastructure and bus transportation is very good. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from. Of course there are strange people everywhere in the world, but overall i feel save living here. And people are very friendly and open minded.

Small little town with little crime rate. There was never something stolen from me. Unfortunately I heard about one homophobe physical attack last year. Nevertheless I feel quite safe compared to other towns 🫶🏼

Since it’s a university city, most of the residents are students. Also most of the housings are student dormitories. I feel safe here. When I walk at night sometimes I feel scared because it’s really quiet.

Tübingen has many ways of creating safety for people. For example there is a number you can call when you’re going home in the dark and need somebody to talk to. I feel safe walking around at any time.
