Siegen is one of the safest cities in Germany. You can easily use public transport, or you can walk late at night after a party without worrying about anything. I haven't heard of any harassments since I came here.

Areas like the central station should be avoided late at night, but there is a police station right next to it, so there aren't really any crimes, just odd people. Otherwise, there's always something happening downtown and, as mentioned, the police station is very centrally located.
Posted: February 10, 2025Siegen is not the greatest place… but if you live in a small town nearby (as I do) it’s very safe. I am honest with you girls, be careful if you walk home alone - you just never know. But check out the small towns around Siegen, they can be pretty interesting
