I lived in this town my entire life and personally never experienced any crime or harassment. A few years ago the house of a friend of a friend got broken in to but since then I never heard about anything more. I often take walks after dark and outside of town in the vineyards, so far nobody bothered me. Every once in a while there will be some rightwing-themed stickers around town, but so far I never heard about any actual violence or harassment form that direction. Over all I'd say it's as calm and safe as one would expect a small town (around 4000 citizens) to be.
