It's more or less safe but walking around in the wrong places at night is not advisable. It's a bigger city and there's a lot of drugs being used in broad daylight especially near the main station. During the day there's not really anything to worry about, I've never really felt unsafe in Frankfurt.
Posted: May 20, 2025Frankfurt is very safe, BUT there is an extremely problematic area around main train station and some local not-so-nice neighbourhoods. The "red district" close to train station is to be avoided - while most of the city is very safe.
Posted: April 26, 2025Frankfurt at night is not for the weak if you aren't close to 'My Zeil'. I do NOT recommend staying too long in the 'Hauptbahnhof'(main station) and 'Rotlichtviertel'(Red light district). Frankfurt is really beautiful if you stay around the skyscrapers and downtown area. The Main Tower in the evening is definitely a place to check out if you want a picture from above!

There are a lot of immigrants from Islamic countries in my town. They don't work, sit in public places or walk in groups. They followed me several times but I ran away. Once they followed my by a car. The police will laugh at you if you report. The most important rule: "Avoid eye contact". It provokes them.
Posted: April 12, 2025if you know which places to avoid it is safe, there are some crazy people and it’s best to avoid eye contact with them. We do have a homelessness and addiction problem in the city center, however if you don’t look/ give them attention you should be alright. Personally I am more concerned about men overall then the homeless/addicts. It’s not more than in other german or european places. It’s also not a lot safer. During day time it’s relatively safe.

It was really fun. Though of course was visiting family there so they knew where to take me/what to show me. I was a kid at the time, and didn’t have to pay for anytning food wise thankfully. I remember being given 100 euro for a souvenir, and my cousins took me to a mall for shopping. Just a plain white hoodie with three bananas on it was 88 euros 😅 It’s been years since then, but that’s the thing I remember the most aside from the sky and strawberry picking I did with them.

Hey Girls 💖 My name is Claudia, I am 26 and live in Kelkheim, a charming suburb about 20 minutes away from downtown Frankfurt. I love discovering new things , Citys , Countrys and meeting new people, but I also enjoy experiencing familiar activities and places. I enjoy showing people my things and places. ✨ I think Frankfurt, and the Rhein-Main area in general, is one of the most diverse regions in Germany, offering a great balance without overwhelming stimulation or too much tranquility. 🦋 I look forward to your messages!💗
Melodi
Hey everyone ✨ My name is Melodi but you can call me Mel. I am originally from Germany, but I moved to England in 2022 for my bachelor's degree. That's why I usually switch between countries. During term time, I live in England, and during the vacation period, I am back home in Germany 😄 I am very extroverted and pretty much down for whatever. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries so far, and I like to think of myself as a traveler, not a tourist. This summer, I am planning to travel to the Balkans (specifically Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia). I’d love to find a travel buddy, so if anyone’s interested in joining me, just hit me up! Let’s travel the world together and make some good memories ✈️🤩 Also, I live in Frankfurt, Germany. If anyone needs a place to stay, I would love to host you.
