I’ve lived there for a few years. Overall it’s quite safe compared to bigger cities in Germany. However, especially at night and on trains, I have been harassed by strangers a few times. Especially during the Oktoberfest time there are many drunk men on the trains. Very unsafe.
Posted: August 31, 2025It's very safe here. All i ever heard about was some stolen trees or beef between a know group of friends. Sometimes there is a teenager selling cigarettes at a school but nothing someone has to really worry about if you are on hollydays etc.
