A small City with some sketchier areas but more on the outside on the otherside of the mosel river. The inner city has some drunk people at night because of the clubs but mostly nothing to worry about. Its a safe city you just need to be aware of your surroundings at night.

Feel very Safe there, so except from one quarter (Neuendorf/Lützel) you can have a peaceful time there Its the Same Like everywhere be carful when You Are alone in the dark and use the mainroads Theo You Are Fine:)
Posted: March 17, 2025Koblenz is pretty safe at night I only had 2 scary encounters while being out with another girl friend but in general it’s safe. Of course the train stations or some other spots are filled with drunk/homeless people or people that abused drugs but so far I didn’t encounter any troubles with them.
Posted: January 23, 2025Koblenz is a small city. There is a big police station quite in the middle so you know they’d be there in a second. I went to school in the city for more than 10 years and am working in the Center of the city. The only “bad” experience I’ve had was in the night partying. And I guess we can blame that on the alcohol. I really like the city and I’ve never felt in danger or something. The people are (mostly) friendly and helping. We have many tourists so I guess it’s quite important to have a safe and attractive city ;)
Posted: January 4, 2025Depends on the part of the city but all in all safe :) For example, I’ve never felt unsafe in the city centre or in the old part of Koblenz. Parts like Lützel can be scary sometimes tho
Posted: December 25, 2024Koblenz is a safe place, at least in my opinion. There are some sketchy neighborhoods but if you avoid them everything is fine. I have not noticed yet any problems within the city or in public transportation
