Posted: February 19, 2025This City is overall very safe. There are many young students and it is busy considering the city is relatively small. But like in any other city I would be carefull and probably avoid to be alone in the dark. Have a pleasant stay here:)
Posted: January 9, 2025I wouldn't describe Kiel as a dangerous city. For it's size it's level of danger is moderate. There are incidents happening just like in every other city. The people are very friendly and always helpful. That's why I'm always feeling safe no matter if day or night. Also we have a strong police presence.

I think that Kiel is safer than other big cities, but I believe there is always a risk factor of being assaulted as a woman. It's important to note that I have never experienced more than catcalling.

It is super safe. Police is not corrupt and seems pretty lefty. You can go home alone in the night without any fear. Still check your surroundings, but feminicide happens nearly just with ex partners or in similar relations.

Kiel is a nice place to see all the beaches we have, we don’t have much cultural diversity but one in all it’s a chilled place. If you live here you don’t find much good about your own city haha but if you want to see Kiel, I can show you around
