Gronau is an ordinary little town right next to the Netherlands. At night, I feel a lot safer than in bigger towns but as a woman, I fear you can never feel 100% safe. The only dangerous aspect is that we're really close to the Netherlands and drugs (mostly weed) is a problem. But normally that's not a danger to ordinary people.
