The people are really nice and sticking together. It is an university city with many international students. Especially the students are really liberal, studying something either environmentally or science related. The inner city is really cute to go out. Maybe in areas like the train stations or Lerchenfeld it can be rougher at night, but in all the years I grew up there, I never had an issue or felt unsafe.
