In my opinion bonn is an overal safe city. There are some areas like Tannenbusch or Kurpark(Godesberg) where drugs are a big deal. At the central station and busstation, there are some homeless people, but in general they are very calm and don't behave weird. In general I feel safe while walking home. Public transport feels very safe
Posted: January 12, 2025Bonn is a cute small city underneath of Cologne. I have been living here for more than over a year now and never experienced anything making me feel unsafe. I live close to the city center and have often walked home alone without any worries. There should be nothing for you to worry about staying in this city :)

Bonn is very safe, just like most of the Germany. It's peaceful, little city. The city of cherry blossom. There are a few places to see and a lot of food to try. Summer is very beautiful, with a lot of flowers and flea markets.

Bonn's a small, pretty quiet city, with some really nice places to check out. It's pretty safe and fun to hang around in. The centre has beautiful buildings and shops or cafes to chill in. Plus, there are great parks and you can walk or picnic near the Rhine.
Posted: December 25, 2024Bonn is a very safe town. At the Main Station there is one area where a lot of homeless people and drum addicts hang around but the usually dont do anything if not provoked. Aside from this one Spot I have Neuer experienced any worry in my 3 years living here.
Posted: November 16, 2024Bonn is a safe city overall, it’s calm and quiet in most areas. However I think the Central Station area is where caution is needed unfortunately because sometimes I did have unpleasant encounters there… but overall nothing to worry about.

Bonn is a lovely place especially the Südstadt, the Rhein promenade and Poppelsdorf part of the city. The lighting are a bit weak sometimes tho. You can rent a bike everywhere and I feel safe on riding a bike
Posted: August 20, 2024Bonn is quite safe for a woman! It’s important to note that the area of the main train station is not so thrilling for women to hang out! So as long as one tries to stay away from it can be pretty safe. It’s better to be cautious about walking in Tannenbusch area as well. Be safe! 🌸

Hi I’m Nina, a student in Bonn always on the lookout for the next adventure. I love to travel and visit friends in different places as I think it teaches you a lot :) Can’t wait to meet you!
Lilly
Hey, I'm Lilly (she/her), 20 years old and i’m studying German and French Literature in Bonn in Germany. Now I will be travelling around for around a month in Spain - and since I am a poor student and open minded at the same time I wanted to try this app to make new friends and maybe recieve a couch to sleep on for one night. :) I do a lot of things with friends, like going to concerts and festivals, but also spend a quiet day with good music (most likely indie alternative) and a book (probably something by Margarete Stokowski) at home. I speak a little little bit of spanish but french and english are fine for me as well. Exited to meet you!
