I feel it really depends on the area you‘re in. Generally it’s rather safe and I don’t worry much, especially as the population is rather high so usually even late at night you are not alone and I feel that adds to security. I know a friend was worried when I mentioned living ground floor on my own but it’s not a problem at all.
Posted: May 12, 2024It’s very safe around here. I used to have a fear of being outside after dark but being here my fear is almost gone now. Every road is well lit and connected to public transport. Even if theres no one outside you would still feel safe here

Emilia
Hello there, this is Emilia. I am a twenty year old student from Germany. If you are interested in learning about the Ruhr are, or North Rhine-Westphalia, or other cities, hit me up. I am a enthusiast for listening to music, playing football, photography and overall interested in learning new things, feel free to hit me up. This summer I am going to travel around Ireland with a travelling scholarship -I didn’t know sth. Like this existed as well, until I read it myself :)- , writing a paper about the folk punk music, concentrating on the youth scenes - and would love to chat with some fellows, who are interested in these topics as well :)
