I’ve grown up in this city and never really experienced anything harmful or any assault. It’s always been a nice city, of course there are people that maybe cat call you or look at you scary but I believe this is in every town.

Bayreuth is a very safe city to stay in, the crime rate isn‘t high and it‘s pretty safe to go for a walk in the nighttime. I often go for a walk in the night but always with protection. Strange people could be everywhere; that doesn‘t have to do anything with the city itself:)

Bayreuth is a really safe place. It's an academic and cultural place. The most people living here are either curious and inspired students or kind families. The transport by bus/ train/ taxi/... is frequent and trustable.
