Yes, I feel mostly safe there, but man also can make me feel terrible, sorry I loved to going on a foot walk along the river, unbelievable view! I'm had budget and stand in family house, so no needs for paying rent. Also we liked to pick up packages of food that were about to expire (this helps both save money and preserve nature). And the food there was really good and tasty.

Toulouse is a very safe place, a city with a predominantly young and active population. There are also good restaurants and cafés. The pink color of the city's buildings provides a very pleasant atmosphere.

Toulouse is a small and beautiful city, if you like visiting churches and walking you will love it, I felt safe at all times and it is easy to use the metro, especially with the 3-day pass, fortunately I stayed the night with a friend so I don't know How expensive is the accommodation :(

Personally I never had any problem but it's shure, like every other big city we must by attentive. All the city is deserve by transport, it's really easy to navigate and you can ask to the bus driver to stop the bus more cloth of your destination after 10 p.m.

It's a very quiet city, the only incidents I've heard about are friends who have been robbed. Like any city, you need to be careful in the evening; there are needle attacks happening (like everywhere in France). The rougher neighborhoods aren't particularly dangerous either, except for certain areas, like near papus for example.
Posted: January 20, 2026Toulouse is quite a safe space overall, especially if you stay within the center of the city. Some neighborhoods in the outskirts are a little sketchy, but they're also quite easy to avoid. Arènes is probably inevitable due to transport, so it's important to stay vigilant at night.

About me 🧐? I don't really know what to say, but what I can say is that my name is Clémence and I'm 19 years old. I live in Toulouse, "the Pink City" (by the way, one of the most beautiful cities in France 😁). I'm a second-year law student aiming to work as a diplomat, but it's not a sure thing; the studies will be long, and I like going out with my friends, so we'll see where it all leads 🤣🤣
