At St Christopher's Inn, a hostel. I liked it and it's really not expensive. For my first experience traveling alone I felt not freaked out but a little scared I guess. I would recommend that hostel tho
Posted: July 13, 2025Experienced: December, 2023everything was great, but I didn’t feel safe at all with this kind of people around (and I’m not talking about homeless or smth) - just french people in general seemed very rude and disrespectful, didn’t make my experience too bad tho
Posted: July 10, 2025I love Paris, I’ve been there for a year and it’s an amazing city, there’s always something new, beautiful spots and DELICIOUS FOOD, people are most of the time kind if you can speak their language and ask kindly for help.
Posted: June 27, 2025I loved Paris and met so many friendly people. Of cause also the food was really good and my favorite attraction were all the museums. Also the food there was soooo god, I can just recommend going there, it’s so nice

It was okayish experience, not too great. People were kinda rude especially if you didn't know French. I stayed in a hostel in Barsey which was nice. Don't rush to cover all the famous landmarks instead enjoy being in the present and the food 🤌🏻
Posted: June 20, 2025Experienced: April, 2025Paris is a beautiful city, you have a lot of things to do !! I didn’t feel safe going solo especially at night so moving in group is better. For the food try to go to some local and non touristic restaurants as they will be cheaper.

I wouldn’t say that Paris is a place to run away from but it’s also definitely not a very safe place. More than once I had to deal with people not in their right mind threatening me or my friends (boys and girls). And some guys can be really annoying, even definitely perverse in a bad way for the worst of them. But these are mostly isolated cases. So as long as you're at least a little careful and don't let your guard down, there's generally nothing to report. (Oh, and beware of tourist traps and pickpockets, of which there are plenty!)

I believe my city can feel unsafe when we walk through neighborhoods because there is sometimes a large gap between close streets. You can go from a place where you feel extremely comfortable from a place where groups of men are hanging out and that feels a little uncomfortable. I am not scared in paris, but you have to be vigilant especially around train stations and the « periph » (which is the road circling around).
