Is Metz Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Metz

Metz is quite a safe town during the day, but don’t walk alone at night. Really take care of yourself and be careful. I’ve already been attacked by a stranger while I was walking home. I don’t think it’s a common thing here, but it’s proof that it does happen sometimes.

I always felt safe in Metz except one time after a free concert, a man was following me and my friend so we told the cops and two nice teenager come with us to our home to be sure he won’t follow us anymore, but it was once in a lifetime

Metz is a French city, not too small, not too big. There are a lot of tourists in this city, so no-one will look strange at you. I take offen the bus at night, never had problem. But it's still a city with men so there are possibilities to feel insecure.

I don’t really feel comfortable walking at night by myself but as a woman I rarely feel in every places so it doesn’t really change. But yeah we still have to be careful about the streets we are talking. and since there are no uber it’s more dangerous
