I don't really know, but there are always people in the street, so we can get help if we need it. I'm a girl, and of course, I'm afraid of men's comments and attacks, but it's okay in Besançon. Maybe just the comments tire me.
Posted: December 24, 2024Besançon is like every city during the night, there is one neighborhood where you should not hang out at night but the rest of the city is very safe and calm. I never feared being attacked in the street. Downtown, sometimes there is drunk people but you can simply avoid them, they wont attack you but maybe ask you for money. If you refuse, nothing will happen, they leave and that’s it. During the day, you can go everywhere without fear, it’s a very Nice city surrounded by nature.
