How safe is Angers?
Little town, globally safe even at night. Went home pretty much drunk a few times by walking and using the night bus and never had a problem. A few problems around the train station, many homeless (avoid this place by night if possible).
Posted: May 3, 2025I live in the heart of Angers near the train station. The area is really good and clean. I stay out late at night, and come home alone at 3 am or 4 am. The public transport is well connected and safe to use.

It's a really cute city and pretty safe, there is not that much to do but there is some museum, bar and stuff like that. You have to be a bit careful at night but I think like every other city .

I feel really safe in Angers. I've been there for a few years now and I can say that it is a really good student city, with lots of means of transport, lots of activities to do and friendly people! I'm going out at anytime on any day because I don't worry at all about bad things happening, for now everything is perfect!

Angers is rather a safe city, since I live there I've haven't had any issues, it's a calm city and people are usually kind About the public transportation, I recommend most taking the bus, the tramway is also good to take but I feel a little bit less secured in it

Angers is one of the safest city in France, people are really gentle , as a woman I’m really happy to live here because I can tell safe when walking alone ,when taking transports or even when going back home late
