Is Angers Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Angers

Angers is one of the safest city in France, people are really gentle , as a woman I’m really happy to live here because I can tell safe when walking alone ,when taking transports or even when going back home late

When people ask me why I was moving to Angers after having lived in so many big cities and seen so much, they were surprised. But honestly one of the factors that played a big difference was how safe I felt in this city as a woman. I have never felt so at peace. People are kind, there isn't any violence. The streets are calm, at night when walking home no one bugs you. It is so so safe. Of course, you need to stay aware but that's just women's condition anywhere sadly. For me, it is the safest city I've ever lived in and it's absolutely life changing.

It's really safe to me. There are a lot of students so it's really animated. There is also some people preventing drugs and alcohol and sexual and sexist harassment/assaults. It really is a safe city to me

Angers is a town with a little city center where you can walk easily to a place to another. There's publics transports at low cost too. I used to hang out and come back home in the night. The cities are enlightened. However, I don't go late in some neighborhood which aren't next to the city center, but there're a lot of students who lives there. The city is calm, there are more trees than another cities, La Maine comes across Angers with great embankment. If you like art, history, sport, food, you'll have always things to discover.

It’s a safe city compared to other cities in france. People are mostly kind and helpful. Maybe the train station and around is less safer for the robbery. Even though there are homeless people, they kindly ask for cigarets or money and don’t insist on it.

Angers is a small town, that i would call safe even-though you never know As a woman i feel safe to walk 20 minutes to go home at night by myself, which is rare.. I would recommend that you keep your phone in your inside pocket if you can, especially at night but apart from that you can live your life without too many cautions

Angers is such a very safe place, compares to others big city in France. You could visit the city with no stress, I have never see any women being attacked ! The city transports are also very safe !
