Is Amiens Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Amiens

Amiens is a medium-sized town and I feel safe here during the day. I'm more careful in the evening and I've already been annoyed when leaving bars. As in most places, you need to be vigilant, but there is no particular danger in this city, especially if you stay in the city center.

During the day, Amiens is a safe city but I've been told not to go out alone at night. I've never been harassed in the street but some men called me while I was just walking on the pathway and I didn't feel reassured.

Amiens is in general a nice city but has some background. At night there is not a lot going on which is why you don’t feel as safe. Aswell there are many homeless or drunk people during the day and night.

Amiens is a safe city for daytime walks, sightseeing, or shopping! However, some areas, like the north of Amiens neighborhoods, are best avoided. Other parts of the city are perfect and even very quiet—I live in Amiens West, and the South is great too! The Saint-Leu district is the hub for bars and nightlife. Being a woman alone after a certain hour isn’t entirely safe, as is the case in most major French cities. If you’re a solo traveler planning to party in Amiens, I would advise against doing it alone. That said, if you’re in the area and I’m available, I’d be happy to join you!

Amiens is a safer city if you are a tourist ! It’s more dangerous at night and in the north of the city unfortunately.. there are some drugs dealer in the north and in “le parc Saint Pierre” but I never had a problem with him ! I never had any problems in Amiens but I already feel insecure !

Its a good small Town. Amiens is cute city, we have a gothic cathedral who’s very beautiful !! People are kind, there is not a lot of bad things, its pretty safe but at night, im afraid of walking alone
