Kayseri is generally a safe city, but it’s not completely risk-free. If you’re a tourist, it’s good to stay aware of your surroundings, especially at night. The city center, Hunat, Cumhuriyet Square, and Talas are usually safe, but areas like Sanayi, Buğday Pazarı, and Eski Sanayi can be a bit rougher, so it’s better to be cautious there. People in Kayseri are generally friendly and hospitable, but that doesn’t mean you should trust everyone too quickly. Small shopkeepers are usually fair, but taxi drivers might try to charge higher fares to tourists, so always check the price beforehand. At night, it's better to avoid deserted areas and use taxis or public transport instead. The tram and buses are safe during the day, but some stops can be empty at night.

Kayseri is a city close to cappadocia which feels safe since it’s not very crowded and more family friendly. Overall people are nice I don’t spend so much time outside at night since city sleeps early don’t have much going on at nights but the area I live (Talas) is more student centered so it’s more lively compared to other parts of the city and feels safer in the evenings

Although not every location is safe, the possibility of being disturbed in public transportation and places is very low. The security in public transportation is both informative and secure. Talas is the best option for hanging out because it has more student population. Also erciyes mountain is one of the best place to winter tourism.
Posted: January 30, 2025I don't think you will have a problem with security in Kayseri. Of course, it is useful to be careful with your bags when you enter a very crowded area, just like everywhere else. As a lady, I advise you not to stay out too late.
Posted: January 29, 2025Kayseri is not a very safe city in my opinion. Even though we don't hear much news about bad stuff, it still makes me feel worried when it is dark in the evening. Other than that, I haven't experienced anything bad in general.

I am 21 years old. I'm a student at the Department of English Language and Literature. I'm planning a trip abroad this summer. Books, movies, photography, theater, drama, concerts, learning new languages and cultures are some of the things that make up my life. I really want to see Spain and Italy abroad and I'm trying to prepare myself for this trip.
