It’s not the safest city in the world. But it has some great neighborhoods which people could safe even at nights. Not being alone and surrounded by other people is much more safe. Foreigner should stay away from some neighborhoods
Posted: January 22, 2025Antalya is a city where you can move easily while wandering its streets during the city. I have never experienced mugging in my experience. I have rarely encountered harassment in terms of looks. It is generally a safe city. very expensive. If you are traveling as a tourist, you should be careful about the risk of fraud.
Posted: January 20, 2025Istanbul is quite a different city in terms of safety. Similar to Barcelona, crimes such as pickpocketing are rare, but shopkeepers tend to overcharge under the guise of bargaining. Some districts of the city are safe and patrolled by the police, while others experience significant unease due to a high immigrant population. While crowded areas are safe even at night, some parts of the city completely sleep through the night. The nightlife is very limited relative to the population. In Kadıköy and Beyoğlu, upscale venues are recommended.

I want you to know there is a pervert man in public transportation who touches himself and leans on his victim when bus is full and people have to be close to each other. It happened to me once. I was young and at first I couldn't understand what was happening. When I got it, I was terrified to do anything and just got off the bus. After that, I saw a couple of tweets about it so this man wasn't doing what he is doing for the first time. I can say that this man smells like horrible death, disgusting, the worst thing I've ever smelled. Also he was holding a polar sweater on his sexual organ. I think ankara is a very safe city and I feel very safe, especially in city centre. But please be careful those people unfortunately exist and some of them also live in ankara.

Istanbul is a metropolitan. So it depends where do you travel actually. Sarıyer, bebek, Kadıköy and the prince islands are safe places. But I can’t say the same for the touristic places like Eminönü, Fatih and taksim. I have never experienced a rubbery or something like that. But I heard from other people in these places. It’s always good to be cautious.
Posted: January 19, 2025depending on your location and neighborhood it can be pretty safe and pretty dangerous, so make sure to do your research before choosing the place you are going to stay in and also be careful about the possible scammers in the city

The capital city of Turkey is safer than many cities that I have visited in EU. I do not feel unsafe about the city but of course as a woman I am worried in general due to the policies of Turkey. Do not hesitate to contact if you have questions.
Posted: January 14, 2025Muğla is a touristic location with pretty friendly locals.Because of its being a touristic location, safety precautions are much higher than the other parts of the country. Men may be a bit flirty but generally know where to stop. I have never felt threatened in my hometown at all.
Posted: January 14, 2025Turkey is very safe and warm place. People are awake 24/7 so I usually feel safe walking even after midnight. Transportation is totally safe, and even if you felt uncomfortable, you can find dozens of men to help. Don’t walk in a dark street alone however because you may find a drunk person who might bother you
Posted: January 12, 2025It's very safe in general. But be careful in touristic areas, they might try to scam you by increasing the price. Especially in taxis. Always use Uber for taxi or public transportation is moderately safe too.

I felt safe in Turkey, I feel like it's a country where you can generally explore alone. I found it affordable, away from the busy places. You could go hot air ballooning, hiking, skiing, camel riding, quad biking, and visit the magical mosques, some of which are free like in Nevşehir, others you pay for like in Istanbul. I think you have to have clear boundaries with men, as you often see them being a bit overwhelming, especially with foreign women, so I think it's good to have boundaries.
