Istanbul is generally safe city. You might get robbed if you not cover your things in crowd places. But this is a slight chance. I never been. Do not walk alone in the dark on side streets late at night. The chances of something happening aren't very high, but they aren't low either.
Posted: April 24, 2025It is really dangerous; there is no overall safety. There are no laws to protect you if someone harasses you or steals your belongings. Additionally, it can be hazardous for people late at night. Therefore, I don't think it's safe.
Posted: April 24, 2025Generally people don't allow to foreigners or immigrants in the neighborhood. Also most of apartments are family apartments. They doesn't allow problematic people in their apartment. Also it's very a busy area with a lot of cafes. So it's make safer in the nights.
Posted: April 24, 2025It’s fairly safe in the central locations. But I don’t recommend anyone to go out after dark. Try to travel only in popular destinations and try not to be alone in the streets. Kızılay, Tunalı, Bahçeli is safe

İ mean we live in Türkiye, what can I say about safety and women's rights but I do not worry about my city, people here are very friendly but do not trust men girls in every country and city. Be safeee
Posted: April 23, 2025Eskişehir because is a student city is full of life and it’s pretty safe as a woman. But try to stay near the center where is so lively not in isolated locations. If you stay near the center where most cafes, restaurants, bars, malls are then it’s really safe. I’ve never been scared when being alone or with my girl friends. But if you stay in a very isolated location can be a bit scary cause there is no people around at least at night.
Posted: April 23, 2025Gaziosmanpasa is the most dangerous place in istanbul. I live here since I was child. I have many bad experiences in this town. Especially Sarıgöl neighborhood is very dangerous because a lot of gypsy was live there. And they are so rude people, not all of them but most of them are dangerous. If you came here be safe 🥺

It’s safe but some area Not everywhere You can't trust everyone cuz they are scammers and u should be aware of tjose people absolutely with those shoes cleaner in taksim area they drop the brush in ground and you will pickup it and call them about it And for this kindness they want you to clean your shoes and ask for money
Posted: April 21, 2025The central areas of Izmir are safe. Locations should be researched well before staying. Places like Bornkva, Karşıyaka, Alsancak are both close in terms of transportation and safer. Some places can be unsafe at night. I recommend staying in a more central location. Femicide is high in our country. Izmir is a little safer than other cities.

City centers and developed districts are pretty safe. Adapazarı, Serdivan and some others. Most of the time there are police cars around. I wouldn't advise being outside after 12am though; after that hour, %90 of the places close shop.

I’ve had the most boring holiday imaginable due to how scared I was of stepping out of the hotel building. All inclusive hotel experience was never my thing, but there was nothing my parents could do besides bringing me along with them. Outside of the hotel there was little to no infrastructure. Houses were abandoned due to the tourism business kicking out all the locals. Men at the street markets were sooo creepy.

Turkey
Mardin is a historical city. It is famous for its stone houses and has very beautiful streets. The people are very tolerant. Mardin is a very nice place, in my opinion. I stayed there for more than three months and love it.

I am Dilara from Turkey, and I am studying in Izmir usually, but now I am doing my erasmus in Bucharest. My parents live in Ankara, so for the quarter of the year I am in Ankara. I really like meeting new people and traveling!

Hello everyone I live in Antalya, a city rich in both nature and history, full of charm and entertainment. I perform as a pianist in hotels here. While making music, I meet and talk with many tourists. I also love traveling, meeting new people, and seeing new places. I am looking for friends who want to travel with me or meet with me in their city. I would also be happy to host those who want to come to Antalya.
