You can walk in the dark . But sometimes there are homeless dogs so you can afraid of them. I can always use publick transport wothout any hesitation . Erzincan is small city . You can walk everywhere . Some place needs to publick transport or car. Dont hesitate and eat everywhere. Of course nobody is the same but you can trust people (not always)

For some areas Istanbul is safe. But I would not recommend walking in strange and dark streets by yourself. I wouldn’t do it in any country if am alone. Overall it is safe but gotta be careful anyways
Posted: March 6, 2025I live in beykoz and it’s very safe place. You don’t need extra attention anything. It is not happen like kidnapping, sexual violence or something. And most of people are gentle and nice. Some people may be conservative but they are not harmful.

In Türkiye, people know İzmir as the country's most enjoyable, safest, and most modern city. Women can comfortably eat, drink, and watch the sunset. Additionally, women can feel relaxed while walking at night. The people of İzmir are very polite; you can ask anyone for help, and they would be happy to assist you.

Also depending on where you are in İstanbul, the places you go to are most likely as safe as any capital city in Europe. Been living here for 4 years now and haven’t experienced anything bad luckily. But I am also careful about who I go out with, how I come back home, where do I go etc. I think overall you will have an okay to good stay in İstanbul.

I wouldn't say it's a dangerous city, but you still need to be careful. The probability of something happening to you is low, but not impossible. Just like the rest of the world. People are helpful. Public transportation is safe. Police are usually always present in crowded places.

I went to Samsun with my sister. She is studying Engineering in Samsun and I felt more secure than crowded cities like Ankara which I live in Ankara. Of course I was prepared but when I landed to Samsun the people were genuine and protective so it was a good experience for me.

I have never witnessed a crime in Antalya before. There are safe and unsafe areas, of course, but I can say that it is safe in many areas that we call the center. There is torusim police some places.

I don't think our country is very dangerous. However, as in every country, some neighborhoods may cause some concern. But the people are very good and helpful, they will do their best when you need help, but we have a lot of language deficiency, so I don't think you can get help from everyone. Speaking for myself, I am not yet at a level where I can communicate with someone in English, unfortunately this is a problem for us.

We stayed in Kadikoy with my fiancée to visit art galleries(specifically Frida Kahlo), museums, Kız Kulesi, Galata Kulesi we stayed at a relative’s house and it was pretty fun we took a lor of pictures. The museum is a must see, also there are bazaars occasionally and it’s cheaper than the places near touristic attractions. People were so kind cats were everywhere. We felt safe yet we were still cautious in crowded places for pickpockets. Transportation was not as much of a disaster as I expected it to be. You don’t wait much and its not that crowded if you don’t take it after 7 pm.

Turkey
The people in Trabzon a little bit agressive than usual but when it comes to women they are overly protective and I was suprised because of this so I asked my dad because he went to college in Trabzon. He said for the people from the region of Black Sea (Karadeniz), women is very important when they see a woman on the street they automatically thinks “This woman is our daughter” or “This woman is our sister” so no one touch them. And when I heard that I felt more secure than normal. It was a good trip for me but their dishes weren’t quite to my taste.

I am an 20 year old engineering student in Istanbul, Turkey and I like to travel when I can spare time from school. I am also a part time musician and I play the flute in a youth symphony orchestra. I would like to meet new people around the world and become friends. I enjoy hosting the people I met and and showing them around. I would also be very excited to visit them in their country.
