If you are close to the sea, no problem, if you are far away, pay attention to the time, the way you dress, the men and your safety. A lot of police are walking around. If you are going to be in the center or in the entertainment places, you have to be careful like everywhere else.

As in every metropolitan city, there are dangerous places in Istanbul. Everywhere is safe during the day. At night, many means of transport are still active. Alone I can still feel safe in some of its districts, but in deserted places I am afraid.
Posted: February 22, 2025istanbul is always crowded and noisy. depending on where you go, you may be less worried about security. for example, you will not be afraid to walk alone in Nişantaş one evening, but you will be very scared in esen. generally you will not have problems in crowded squares. you should still be careful with your bag in squares like taksim.

It is very safe to live and travel here. You can go anywhere by yourself one with public transportation and no one will disturb you. I just sometimes feel worried after midnight in the streets but its just that I am not used to go out at night.

During day its pretty safe and good. After dark it feels not that safe. But this is for big cities like Istanbul. Other cities are more safe compare to Istanbul or Ankara. Also people are helpful and kind mostly. At the end of course foods are so good. Try all.

Due to the latest news in Istanbul, it’s hard for even animals to love peacefully here, but for traveling ladies; Public Transportation, touristic places and crowded places are the safest options. I’m not saying if you come something definitely will happen to you, but just be cautious and enjoy!

Istanbul is more safe when you travel in a group. We have great hospitality but some place of the city have more dangers than other places in Istanbul. So be aware when you want to travel here do your research. But other than that I ensure you we have greatest hospitality, food, and cats here. Ah, you should also be careful on traffic.

It's safe and lovely daytime, however, certain districts and areas even very centrally need caution night time. Generally, a very populous, diverse, exciting city and crime rates are as frequent as in any metropolitan city.
Posted: February 20, 2025Our safety is high in vivid streets or public transportation but its hard to say same thing for desaolate places. Turkish women help you when you exposed a bad experience all kind. but dont trust tuskish men.

It is changeable due to the neighborhood, time and day. If you're in Kadıköy in a Fenerbahçe's football match time, you won't feel that enough to be secure because of the crowd. Also please do not trust any people easily

Istanbul was amazing, I felt safe, but of course, as everywhere, you need to be careful. I recommend taking a Bosphorus trip, it’s quite cheap and amazing. I used public transport with an Istanbul card and explored lots of amazing places.
Posted: February 21, 2025I felt the safest when we went on a boat trip and ate fish sandwiches near the embankment. Our budget was about $1,000, which was enough for two people, including shopping, food, and fun. We stayed at the Naif Bey Hotel, and it was a very good experience.

I am an 20 year old engineering student in Istanbul, Turkey and I like to travel when I can spare time from school. I am also a part time musician and I play the flute in a youth symphony orchestra. I would like to meet new people around the world and become friends. I enjoy hosting the people I met and and showing them around. I would also be very excited to visit them in their country.
