I have been living in Antalya for two months now. I haven’t felt unsafe at any moment, not even at night or in neighborhoods that might seem unsafe at first glance. I’ve never felt in danger while using public transportation. On the other hand, I believe the mindset of the average Turkish person doesn’t lean towards stealing, mugging, or kidnapping. I’ve felt very safe here. It’s important to highlight that Antalya has a large international community, so cultural or religious differences won’t make you feel at risk. In other cities in Turkey, particularly more conservative ones, I did feel observed and judged for the way I dressed. However, that hasn’t been the case here in Antalya.
Posted: November 22, 2024I am lucky to be with my family but if you are a tourist I can't say the same. It is definitely a conservative city and they don't like women very much. You can never walk comfortably (except in certain fancy places)

Turkey is a safe and good place to visit If you love cats you’ll have bunch of them People are really friendly and help you with anything Just try to stay away from very touristic places if you want to eat or drink something
Posted: November 16, 2024Some quarters like Tarlabasi in Taksim are quite dangerous so particularly women should prevent to stay in this kind of quarters but if you are not too late and in a safe quarter you are okay. Especially if you will be late on Friday and Saturday, it won’t be that much dangerous compared to the other days since these days the metro line is open 7/24 and a lot of people are in the outside.
Posted: November 14, 2024Ankara is the capital of Turkey. I was born here, and I haven't had any experiences of assault or been mugged. Maybe I am the lucky one, or this place is safe because, in my country, women's safety is always questionable. I think other countries are also like that, but since I have been living here, I cannot say the city is completely safe, but I haven't had any bad experiences.
Posted: November 1, 2024First thing is can say about Istanbul's safety is: It's hard to say a specific thing. Because mostly it depends on where you are. When we compare European and Asian side, Asian side is safer but European side is much more enjoyable. For example Beşiktaş, Bebek, Sarıyer. And for Asian part Kadıköy is enjoyable and fun. If you're going crowded places during night i suggest you to go with a friend. I think Istanbul is better for group travelling, not for solo travelling.
Posted: October 19, 2024Cappadoccia is very touristic. Especially touristic places are quite safe. There are good and safe places to see and drink something. Before going there one should check everthing on maps and read the reviews
Posted: October 9, 2024Some places like Çankaya are quite safe. But you need to be careful especially in Altındağ. If you want to see Ankara Castle, you need to go there in the day, at night I don't recommend to go there...
Posted: October 9, 2024Actually, I feel a little scared in Turkey because there are a lot of bad people. But if you are careful, there's no need to worry. It's not going to be a problem. Don't trust anyone. I love my country, but sometimes it scares me.
Posted: October 6, 2024You need to stay away from narrow streets and some neighbourhoods especially when its dark. When its dark if you need to use public transportation, stay close to other woman or safe people, bad people should think that you are not alone.

It was amazing I googled the best places to go and I have been to all locations! The places were very beautiful and I enjoyed a lot. I visited galata tower, Osmanli palace, the colorful stairs, the historical other places.
Posted: November 21, 2024I’ve traveled solo in Istanbul and I felt incredibly safe. Common sense and street smarts. Using the tram is easy. There’s so much to do. Not knowing Turkish is fine.
