Family travel

Since it is a well known touristic place it is pretty safe. If you want you can rent a boat to get to the different coast. If you are looking for a beach plus historical places visit for a holiday, this is a good option. I can’t say easy to afford.

Solo travel

ScubaDiving was great and a must to do activity But dont do it if you’re afraid of depths Also must go for boat trip with party music. Beaches are really good as well Safe city with lots of foreigners

Solo travel

I stayed in Kabak Bay for two weeks. Since it was winter, it was very quiet. Nature interwined. There are minibuses available at regular intervals, or you can reach there by taxi or car. I heard it's very busy and fun during the summer months. You can find an atmosphere like the hipsters of the 60s here in the summer.

Fethiye is a small modern town on the Turquoise coast with a mix of tourists and local people. All the locals know ow each other and look out for each other, hence why crime is low. I have lived here as a single woman for years and feel totally safe at any time of day or night.

It's one of the safest places in Turkey. In summer I can sleep with an open door inside my caravan. Seaside is safe to put tent and I know women living in tents by the seaside. It's not so crowded so you feel totally safe. And security teams work really good and they're very helpfull.

Overall safe because Fethiye hosts many tourists during summer season. General precautions should be taken against stealing. Locals are generally friendly but there might be catcalling. You should try to avoid secluded areas, especially late at night.
