Posted: February 11, 2025Konya is a safe place because I live here with my family. When I walk on the street, I don't feel in danger. If you come to Konya, you don't need to worry about this matter. If you have a bad experience, the police will help you.

The people of Konya are very hospitable and local; they never treat guests poorly, such polite people. If you have no money in your pocket, they put some in your pocket; if you are hungry, they treat you to a meal. There are police vehicles everywhere, and in the event of a problem, if you ask someone for help, they immediately assist you.
Posted: February 4, 2025Eskişehir is a student city. People come from another cities.I think Eskişehir's night isn't safe. But I'm meating my near friends on morning or afternoon. You can see Sazova Science Park, muzeums etc. If you come to my country and my city, we can meet in there. See you.🌸

Konya is a Central Anatolian city, its people are friendly, warm-hearted and helpful. Of course, just as there are good people in every city, there are also bad people. It is beautiful with its food. It is the best food city in Turkey. They do their best to help people, especially the elderly, even if they do not speak English.
Posted: July 10, 2024In Konya, everyone looks out for each other, there are arguments as in every city, but everyone is helpful.Mevlana is visited very often by tourists, everyone tries to help tourists, even those who do not speak the language.
Posted: June 3, 2024Food: It’s heavily meat based and most places don’t even advertise vegetarian options but you can always manage somehow… Safety: I feel safe here, but stay away from back streets where there are no shops. I’ve noticed a few child beggars so keep purse close Budget: This is the most conservative city in Turkey, according to consensus by Google search. Wearing a headscarf and modest clothing is highly recommended. And, unless you’re already from a conservative culture, your most conservative will be less than the average woman. But, it’s safe. It’s very cheap by western standards. A fancy meal will cost about 300tl, average random place maybe 40-80tl, but if you find the right falafel or doner place, you’ll pay 20tl. A USD is about 18tl. Major museums (archeological, cultural, Mevlana aka Rumi) are free. There are also whirling dervish performances(Sema) that are also, apparently, free! It’s likely shopkeepers won’t speak English, or if they do, very minimal. Busses and trams require a card that you cannot get at every stop, so if you plan on using public transport, plan ahead. The city is very walkable. There’s Aladdin Park in the middle. Accommodation: Zafer Pension is about 250tl a night for a private room. I highly recommend them! Recommendations: Cover hair and wear modest clothing. Don’t engage with creepy or aggressive men… the usual. Carry tissues bc public toilets don’t have paper
