In my opinion, Eskişehir is one of the safest cities in Turkey. Instead of focusing on general crime rates in the country, if you specifically look at Eskişehir, I believe you'll feel safe throughout your trip here.
Posted: May 15, 2025(Sorry for my English, I hope you can understand.) Generally safe. City center is safe. I'm living in there. I feel safe at nights. Because there is enough police officers. At night Barlar Street is pretty crowded. And there are mostly students. They're so kind. People's are very kind too. Eskişehir is students city. Mostly. I don't face a rape or something. But in public transportation I experienced that old man touching me. But when I yelled at him people around me reacted. And some kind man protect me. Again they're kind. Mostly safe city for me. I know that if I don't feel safe I can call the police. That's all :))
Posted: April 26, 2025Eskişehir because is a student city is full of life and it’s pretty safe as a woman. But try to stay near the center where is so lively not in isolated locations. If you stay near the center where most cafes, restaurants, bars, malls are then it’s really safe. I’ve never been scared when being alone or with my girl friends. But if you stay in a very isolated location can be a bit scary cause there is no people around at least at night.
Posted: April 23, 2025Eskişehir has a large student population so you feel more comfortable and don’t have much security concern. Most of the people you will meet while walking on the street are students and young people, and everyone is minding their own business. (varies by neighborhood ofc but..still)
Posted: January 30, 2025Eskişehir is definitely a student city, everyone knows each other🤣Crime rates are low here because the general population is students. So you can easily come to Eskişehir, I don't think you will have any problems ⭐
Posted: January 29, 2025Eskişehir is a small and safe city. There are law enforcement officers everywhere. I haven't encountered any incidents so far. I have been living here for 4 years. Everyone knows their limits. I haven't experienced any harassment or violence. Everyone helps each other. The presence of many active feminists makes me feel good.

It is a very beautiful city, student-friendly, prices are reasonable, shopkeepers are very nice, transportation is cheap, it is a small city, you can easily visit everywhere, it is safe, it reminds me of Venice.
Posted: May 14, 2025Experienced: March, 2025Eskisehir has an amazing center with lots of museums and historical houses. O really recommend OMM ( odunpazari modern museum). Also princess castle in Sazova park was perfect. You should try 'çibörek' as a traditional food.
