I actually lived in Eskisehir for two and a half years. I went to university there and it was the perfect place to be a student really. If you stay too much you might run out of activities but the food and the vibes of the city are great. I felt safe even though I was a woman who lived alone. Kanlikavak and Odunpazari houses, the Porsuk Stream, and the bars, nightlife… I really miss Eskisehir and totally recommend it to ones who are interested to visit!

Turkey
It is a very beautiful city, student-friendly, prices are reasonable, shopkeepers are very nice, transportation is cheap, it is a small city, you can easily visit everywhere, it is safe, it reminds me of Venice.

one of the safest cities in turkiye for travelers, because it's a student friendly city, the population is mostly young people. The population is friendly to students and young people. They're generally open minded. I wouldn't call turkiye safe overall but eskisehir might be the safest option.

Eskişehir is a small city next to Ankara which is the capital city of Türkiye. It is a fun city and safe. Its population is young. Çibörek and Balaban Kebab are local foods. Talkan cookie is a local dessert. Boza is a local drink.

Lovely city with a good night life. Drunk students can be a bit weird when talking but it's a nice place to live. Police offers are reliable and lost items can be found at least 70% of the time. One of the safest cities in Turkey.

In my opinion, Eskişehir is one of the safest cities in Turkey. Instead of focusing on general crime rates in the country, if you specifically look at Eskişehir, I believe you'll feel safe throughout your trip here.
Posted: May 15, 2025(Sorry for my English, I hope you can understand.) Generally safe. City center is safe. I'm living in there. I feel safe at nights. Because there is enough police officers. At night Barlar Street is pretty crowded. And there are mostly students. They're so kind. People's are very kind too. Eskişehir is students city. Mostly. I don't face a rape or something. But in public transportation I experienced that old man touching me. But when I yelled at him people around me reacted. And some kind man protect me. Again they're kind. Mostly safe city for me. I know that if I don't feel safe I can call the police. That's all :))
