Is Reims Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Reims

I’ve been living in Reims for several years. I’ve experienced violence on public transport, and honestly, it’s hard to spend a morning, afternoon, or night alone as a woman without being stopped or harassed by men. That said, I generally feel safe during the day. At night, I stay alert and walk fast — especially when I’m alone.

Reims, which is a much smaller and safer city compared to Paris—super comfy, low crime, and a calmer vibe. Paris is obviously amazing and full of life, but I think it’s always a good idea to stay cautious, especially when you’re out late and solo.

For me it’s like a mini Paris, a cute city but as a woman I feeling unsafe everywhere I’m going (not only in Reims) especially after dark. It’s better to not be alone. But living there is good! But if you are coming on you roadtrip in France, Reims is enough for 2 days.

Reims is not a very big city, it is honestky very safe, especially downtown, you don’t have to worry about anything and you can live your life as you want. I’m just a bit worried at night but that is the case in every city.

I’m always careful but it is safe I most of the places in Reims. There are some places I don’t go to because it doesn’t really feel safe but if I have something to do at does places I go and nothing never happened to me
