In general it's mainly safe , but be careful in some zones it could be really dangerous at night so I recommend you to stay with some people (friends) when you go out at night . The day there are some places that are really chill and nice sometimes you feel really safe and sometimes not really.

Poitiers is a small and very safe city. The city center is the safest place but the whole city is really okay. I think as a woman we could be afraid of going more in the peripheral zones since they don't always have good lights.

Poitiers is overall a safe city, however since it’s very small, you’re often alone in the streets when you’re out and especially at night. I would not recommend to walk at night alone but apart from that it’s a cute little city with nice architecture !
