Is Nancy Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Nancy

I think Nancy is quite a save city but as always you should be careful because something can always happen. I walked often home alone in the dark and I never felt unsafe but i'm always taking the route next to the big street. I never experienced any problematic things but I know that some districts are less safe and quite unsafe. Otherwise be careful that nobody steals something from you in the bus. But in general it's really safe and I never worry on a night out

Overall very safe, the crime rates are lower compared to other cities in France. Many people use public transportation, even at night, and I felt safe riding a bus. It can be a bit scary to walk around at night in some areas, just like in every city.

I really feel safe in Nancy, i live in the city center. You could walk alone and feel great. There is some not fine comments but not too much. I recomend using bike and talking to people if its needed
